I mean, that’s just your opinion. He’s happy & he’s living life the way he wants. I will never understand the guys that want to come in here and attempt to tear down another man’s happiness after knowing what he’s been through to atleast some extent.

Ahhhh shit this gets me so hyped up! I love seeing other dudes realizing how amazing this shit can be once you get through the depression & sulking around. I hate to say it, but I’m also 29 and I feel like it’s such a prime age to get a divorce 😂 I know everyone says to keep to your self and heal, but I will preach to everyone that once you do get out of the mental fog… getting out there, having fun with the apps & dating/sleeping with new women will do insane wonders for your confidence and hap…

Hey man, we’re close in age & I went through the very same shit as you as far as realizing all of these emotions and realities once separated. If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to PM me. Keep sticking up for your self, and be comfortable with the fact that it’s time for you to prioritize your self from here on out. Like you, I loved my wife endlessly and it ultimately wasn’t enough. She took a very happy person and morphed me into an asshole over time, and once she was done with me …

This sort of situation will not progress in your favor, I promise you. Eventually, she’s going to turn on you & make it all your fault. She has issues to fix, that’s her responsibility & not yours. As someone else here said, your marriage sounds relatively miserable and you’ll be blown away at how great life will be without her. If she can’t own up to her issues and seek professional help, you need to take that as a sign of a lack of commitment towards you and you should jump ship before it gets…

I truly believe that it’s going to stay this way until you actually want it to change, and you actually want to move on. You’ll have to apply your self, and you’ll have to make your every day mission getting on with your life. This is a time in your life where it is not only acceptable, but mandatory that you become selfish and start loving yourself. I wish I could tell you what that looks like for you, but I think you know what it’s going to take to make YOU happy. Whether that be developing a …

Of course there can be. I do think I should have mentioned in there as well that you have to find peace and happiness within being alone before any kind of relationship. With that said, I know for a fact that when I was going through this in the beginning, I was very convinced that I won’t find anyone else, and that no one was going to want to be intimate with me. I think that’s fairly common. I fell in love with myself again, and that gave me the confidence to get back out there and date. You d…

I’m not even going to bother reading that. I went through your post history as well, and it looks like you start problems every where you comment. Makes far more sense now. This is a community, we can’t all agree on everything. Whether you like it or not, it’s here & there are quite a few folks who agree. You have your opinion, I have mine.

What is your problem? It was a positive only post, yet you have to come in here & tear it down. What do you gain from that? To be frank, your opinion on all of it sucks, but I’m very happy to see so many other men here agree with me. I can’t figure out your angle, so I’m gonna just disregard your negative mindset & wish you the best of luck. I posted this once I achieved the ability to disregard her, of course I’m going to have previous posts that are about her. That’s what we all do here. To go…

Obviously you won’t be able to forget them entirely. Again, you’re not seeing the bigger picture. You have to drop them from your mentality to focus on your self & discover your new meaning of life. If you keep them in mind, you’re going to loop your self back into what ever trance you were in before. It’s not healthy. I can tell you with absolute certainty, I do not think of her whatsoever unless she is communicating with me about the kids. Aside from that, she does not come into play. I don’t …

Huh. That’s one way to look at it, and I’m glad that works for you. I think you took my post as in I’m addressing every single person in this sub, and telling EVERYONE how to proceed. I was not. I was pretty specific on who I was talking to, and I gave them the same information I have collected throughout this journey. This information, exactly how it’s written, is what saved my self & my future. I obviously can’t cover EVERYTHING, but those 4 bullet points came from others that helped me along …

Just to elaborate on the listening part since I assume MOST dudes here are going to eventually want to get back out there. Listening doesn’t mean shutting up and waiting for your turn to speak. Let them talk, and pay attention to everything they say. When it’s your turn, hone in on and talk about something she said, and create more conversation about it. Make them laugh, and make them blush. She will be soaked by the end of that conversation if you can do that. They also LOVE confidence and comf…

Currently experiencing this with a very attractive woman. I have been & will remain very well off and comfortable on my own. I’ve expressed this to all women I’ve interacted with, and not one of them was turned away by it. The current one is highly attracted to it, and when she figured that out her interest in me spiked. You’re doing your self a massive favor by being good with you, and you only forever.

I would agree, but I would take it a step further and say don’t sub in any unhealthy addiction in place of a bad one (ex wife). Use a gym, healthy diet, happy music & positive people to heal. No booze or drugs.

Dude you gotta stop. I understand EXACTLY how you feel. You need to let go of the guilt, and that’s going to rid of the misery. This situation takes 2 to create, she is every bit at fault as you are. Go outside, go for a walk and listen to some music. Happy ass music. It’s going to be like this until YOU take charge and start making the improvements. Guilt has to be something you focus on giving up.

Absolutely. Again, your true person would never do this to you. Let her go, and let that shit stay with her so that you’re ready (if & when) the right person does come around.

It took me about 5 months post separation to really grasp my new reality, and see it for what it is. It felt like an overnight realization, but one day I woke up and the morning depression was gone. The thought of my ex was gone, and I finally saw what a gift I was given. From that moment on, everything changed for the better. I started carrying my self with confidence, and started presenting my self as a winner. My life today is so beyond what I could have ever hoped it to be when the whole shi…

Nailed it. If it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be.. and it never will be. What is meant for you, will never lose you & you won’t have to fight to keep it around. Letting go of what doesn’t feel right, regardless of the difficult process that involves, will be the best thing you can possibly do for that situation.

Absolutely. Men’s Work - Connor Beaton // The Masculine in Relationship - GS Youngblood // The Dead Bedroom Fix - DSO // No more mr nice guy - Robert Glover // The subtle art of not giving a fuck - Mark Manson I feel all of these help you focus on your self, your self worth, and your abilities as a man. They kinda teach you what women actually want, and how it’s not what most of us think it is. I highly recommend all of them equally!

I’ve spent a lot of time recently reading books on masculinity & attracting women, as well as reading through different types of situations men go through on here. I took all the info and started applying to my dating life, and they were all right. I’m definitely at the point where I’m flirting and hitting on women subconsciously, and it is working really well. Glad to help how ever I can!

You need to convince your self that you’re the prize, and you need to convince your sole that you can have whatever you want. I’m a busy dude between my career and kids, so I don’t have the luxury of going out and meeting women in “the wild” as much as I’d like to. Quit giving her space in your head for free. You HAVE to come to the understanding that she DOES NOT MATTER anymore. Whether she never fucks again, or fucks 2 dudes a day for the rest of eternity does NOT concern you anymore. Take those eyes completely off of her, and land them on some other piece of ass that will fuck you like you matter. You gotta focus on YOU, and what makes YOU happy. In my opinion, and especially with my ex, you have one shot to establish your dominance and self worth. I am fully understanding that my ex will never respect me like these new women do, and that’s my fault. I was a bitch when it came to my ex, and I know she won’t respond to this new mindset the same way the new women do. That’s ok. She’s gone, and she can stay gone. I can tell you that you are going to find someone better, and you will completely disregard your ex. Your ex cannot compete with …

Yessir. I think guys have the mental block that if they stand up, they’re gonna get dropped. The honest reality is that these hoes wanna feel replaceable to some extent. They don’t wanna be your only choice, they wanna be your first choice & they have no problem earning that spot. Once you figure that shit out, you truly won’t give a fuck and they know it, and they’ll treat your dick like their last meal because of it.

I get your point. What I personally don’t want is someone who needs me to survive. Of course I’m not going to entertain women who are “strong & independent”, but here is an area between the two that grab my attention. They WANT me, and they want to have all of me. BUT, the also understand that I’m my own person, and I have my own hobbies and interests that don’t involve her. Someone who NEEDS you is going to demand your attention 24/7, and will present issues when you want to be your own self. A…

This is a real question, not being snarky. Do you genuinely want someone who depends on & NEEDS you? I feel like I’m at the point where I only want someone who wants me entirely, nothing more nothing less.

I haven’t experienced this exact scenario, but there are similarities within our previous marriages and how we were treated. There’s no sense in talking on what has already happened, but you can take your experiences and use them to your advantage with your next relationship. I would make sure that you are 100% emotionally available before you put yourself out there. I don’t think you need to be fully healed, a good partner is going to continue to heal you and that’s okay. With that said, you do…

This is likely not what you want to hear, but I would almost guarantee that she said this comfortably because she already has that “someone else” lined up. She knows exactly who she would go to for that, and she knows she will get exactly that. No sane person that is actually in love with & committed to you would EVER say something like that. Especially if you’re not neglecting her or ignoring her sexual needs. I would bite that bullet, and tell her she is free to go as she pleases because you d…

I use FB dating, Bumble, & Hinge. FB dating is entirely free, so I use that one the most. What I did for the other two was use one at a time to begin with, and I just bought the 1 week trial of the paid version. I figured it would give me a week to try it out and see if I have any success with it before committing to paying their monthly dues. I did a week on hinge, and then a week on Bumble. I ended up paying for a month on each because of how much success I had within the first week. Hinge see…

I won’t speak on your relationship problems them selves as I don’t feel that’s my place. With that said, and with the information you provided, I would swallow the hard pill and divorce her. I am the same age as you, but I have children involved in the mix so it’s a little messier. My ex was forming a relationship with a co worker when we split, and discovering that was what sparked it all. At the end of the day, someone who loves you & is committed to you would not do that to you. It doesn’t ma…

Yep, I’m 29. I’m finding I get the MOST interaction with girls that range from 25-28. So just slightly younger than I am. I have also noticed that the girls my exact age, or slightly older (30-33) are rather boring and don’t engage in the conversation unless I probe. I don’t think it’s much of a secret that women like men who are older, so I think that’s why I’m experiencing it this way. Yeah I mean I look somewhat fit and athletic in my pics, but i don’t think that really has much to do with it. I have about 6 photos posted on each profile, all 6 were taken by someone else so they don’t look like basic selfies. My description is pretty short & sweet, very little explanation on my self. First & foremost, I got snipped immediately after the ex and I separated. I knew that I wasn’t going to last very long going with out sex, and I’m well aware that these women WILL baby trap me. I also don’t necessarily have an amazing pull out game, so it was a no brainer. I honestly started out sort of rough with talking to them, but as we’ve come along here I feel like I can get my self into any of these girls beds if they give me the slightest bit of time to converse with them. Well I don’t really see where I mentioned they have rules for me. Aside from one single mom, they’ve all been super accommodating to everything going on in my life. Obviously I told said single mom to kick rocks pretty much immediately, but there’s no reason to yet with the others. What I’m saying is they are attempting to start a relationship way too early on. Coming out of a divorce, the last thing I’m willing to deal with at all is rules & regulations. I completely agree with you there. That’…

I’d encourage you to take a few good pics, not selfies though. Throw them up on a few different apps and start having fun. Even if you don’t meet them, the attention they shower you with will feel almost overwhelming. There are plenty on there that don’t want commitment, I just think it’s my age and situation that are heavily drawing in the ones looking for daddy. Go live it up brotha it’s a ton of fun
/r/Divorce_Men16/07/24 02:24 PM

They seem to eat the single dad shit up honestly. As long as it’s apparent that you’re present and a good dad, I’d go out on a limb and assume it slightly soaks their panties. Particularly with the childless women. I would have never assumed it would be this way, but it is. If im active on the apps, 3 matches minimum a day. I’ve even started receiving initial likes from some baddies. It’s shocking but I’m not mad.
/r/Divorce_Men16/07/24 02:17 PM

Agreed. Im not opposed to giving one more attention then the rest, but they’ve gotta be super ideal. I had one the other day (this one’s a single mom) pull the same shit on me. Asking me all kinds of questions about commitment and relationship plans (still no date so far) and then proceeds to tell me that she is currently living with her 2 kids, at her BABY DADDIES PARENTS HOUSE. BD doesn’t even live there. She also only works part time at a retail store.. I almost threw my phone out the truck.

Interesting. I’ll be honest I’ve tried to put the mack down on a few 35+ year old ladies but they don’t bite 😂 feels like the girls my age are circling me like a pack of wolves. I love the attention & the action, but I’m not getting into another relationship just because THEY want it.

Ughh. That sort of loops it all in. Im a single dad, & I found it odd that I have had way interest & success with childless women, compared to single moms. They all do it, but the childless women are almost aggressive with how hard they approach and show desire. God damnit.

I dealt with something very very similar to this. The truth is, you and I will neither likely get the truth, but that’s because the truth would diminish their reputations as respectable women. You know (as did I) the truth. The affair was going on since you first picked up on it. What are the odds that they weren’t in any type of situation until you separated? None. They were sneaking behind your back, and she gave you enough evidence to fuel a separation so that SHE wasn’t the sole reason it oc…

The apple & maggots comment is so accurate. Yes, my ex is attractive. BUT, so are the other women I’m talking to, yet they’re not rotted out on the inside like my ex is. I’d take someone even less attractive on the outside if it meant their insides were what I desire. Fortunately for me, I don’t think I’ll have to settle. She on the other hand is going to find that men will see her for what she is, and they’re not going to tolerate it like I did. She’ll get hers.

We could easily go through the entire divorce with no lawyers. We’re in agreement on everything, and there’s no fighting or arguing. I know for a fact, her mother (who has been divorce & remarried 4 times) is in her ear telling her to get an attorney. She has always been a problem in our marriage, and never provided any positive impact. Now we’re spending money on attorneys to reach the same agreement we already have, all because her satanic mom got ahold of her. Oh well, soon neither of them wi…

Do you think that’s what my issue is? Being emotionally free from the ex? It’s crazy cause my initial reaction to anything concerning my ex has traditionally been “maybe we’re gonna workout” or “maybe she’s back”. Yeah, he can have her. She’s been the way she is now for as long as I knew her. I was just too blinded by love to realize it. Now that this is my reality, it’s becoming a real problem that she doesn’t see a problem with her behavior & thinks that she’ll just move on to the next. Awesome, thanks for the advice. It’s pretty disturbing to see what they’ll do with zero remorse. When I dabble in it, Facebook dating seems to be the best. I haven’t tried bumble or tinder, and stir was a fucking shit show. You want the worn out of the worn out, go to Stir. Facebook dating, for me, has been almost overwhelming positive. On average, I’d get 3-5 matches a day.. and that’s spending maybe 15 minutes of my time a day swiping. I’ve met a couple great girls on there, and a couple hoes. Both ends were fine. It’s all completely free.

The mornings are by far the hardest. I feel like we can all completely relate and understand. I’m past that point, but it took a long time. When you wake up, force your self to get up when your eyes open and get in the shower. Find music that gives you good energy and a positive mindset and play that music on a speaker while you’re showering. I did this (and still do) religiously every morning, and it helped minimize the haunting feelings you are experiencing right now. You’ll have to learn how …

It’s pretty concerning. I still get waves of “do I miss her” or “what if..” and the remember the complete destruction she put me through and I snap out of it. What I don’t understand is the same thing as you.. why didn’t I see this shit sooner? I had been put on the back burner for years. I know damn well that I treated her right and never let her go a day wondering if I still wanted/loved her. I put so much of my self aside for her, all to get burned and tossed aside. Never again.

I’m sorry to hear that. It’s crazy how disgusting people can be, and there’s a trend with those same people having daughters. Not all MIL’s are bad, but boy did I get one of the ones that is. I once caught her texting my wife telling her I wasn’t a man because I had forgot to remove frozen chicken nugget from the freezer of an old fridge we got rid of before it was moved. She also cheated on my ex’s father, and was encouraging my wife to “explore her options” at her new job. We separated shortly…

Aside from her raging bitch of a mother with a horrible past and example set for her daughters, I’d say her avoidance in pretty much everything. She ran from everything and anything that presented a possible challenge, and never took any accountability for anything she clearly was wrong for. She was also big on knocking me down doing things that I enjoyed if it made her feel any type of way. Dancing to music, singing along to music, working out, really just any enjoyable situation for me.. she’d…

Insane how the mother in law should be one of the largest red flags we look for. My ex mother in law had 4 kids with 2 different men. 4 marriages, current marriage is with a guy who abandoned his own children once he married her. She single handedly sparked our divorce and drove my ex all the way out the door. I don’t know of a single woman in the world that gets along with her aside from her own daughters. She’s a whole cunt and I wish nothing but the worst for her!

What’s the feedback with the older lady? She’s more mature.. in a good way? Does she fuck better than the 26 year old? 😂 The 25 year old I just piped was way better than the 27 year old I am divorcing. So curious on others experiences with this.

It was my own mind fooling me into thinking - This is it, you’ll never get a woman again if you let this happen, and if it does, you need to fill that void NOW - what a load of shit. Absolutely. Thank you! It feels like the further along I go, the more grounded I become and it’s a fantastic feeling. It’s a skill to be able to manage what I think, feel and say.. and to speak only the truth regardless if it’s what myself or others want to hear. It’s such a sad and immature truth. They’re all like this, but god damn. Her social status and desire to be right in front of all of her people matters FAR more than speaking the truth and rebuilding a life with the one person who did and would have continued to do anything for her. Ego is a real thing and they suffer heavily from it, along with anyone else in their path.

I wasn’t asking for your opinion on what you think is acceptable or not. I wanted to know if anyone could relate. We’re married by law, not be any other definition and divorce is in process. I don’t feel like you’ll get an answer here that is the right answer. Most are going to tell you to move on, and that’s just not how it works.. atleast in the short run. What worked well for me was taking a very mutual and peaceful mindset. You ultimately can’t control whether she comes back or not.. and because of that you should focus on becoming at peace with a life with, or without her. Appreciate you. I had lots of typos in that previous comment, my apologies. I’ve been on this sub for a long time, I grey rocked her for several months at the beginning so that I could hard reset. I truly feel in tune with my emotions, my self, and my worth, wants and needs. I am very comfortable being around her, or any woman for that matter because now I know what I’m worth and what I will never settle for again. I am the only one who has control over myself, and I will die that way.

I guess I’m not looking for emotional resources. I get what you’re saying, and I agree. I think what I’m trying to say is that even an emotionless, sex only interaction showed me how little women mean to me anymore. I physically don’t have it in me to consider anything emotional right now, with anyone. And honestly, I think I needed to fuck a random to fully grasp that. I see it as a positive.

I just posted about the other end of this. I went about 6 months post separation before I got laid again. Few times again after that, and I’m already over it. You start to see the emotional baggage and red flags real clearly after you go through something like this, and it makes you not very interested in these women. Even with the hoes, going into it knowing they’re a hoe, it’s still just meh. I’m young, attractive and have my shit together. I have been pursued quite a bit post separation, and …

I love being alone. And I think it’s getting more obvious to me as I go along here, especially after that last hook up. It’s empowering as fuck to be ok alone, especially as a younger (29) single dad. I really just expected to like the sex thing more than I did. Don’t miss it with the ex, just don’t really give a fuck about it now that I’ve done it a few times. Maybe I just needed to get it out of my system?

Fellas. She doesn’t have my under her finger tips lol we don’t spent time together. It was Mother’s Day, she’s a great mother. It was a mutual agreement for her to see my family, and I got to spend more time with my kids in the process so it’s okay. Other than that, I only see her at child exchanges. Appreciate the assumption, but it’s not what you think it is. No where in this post did I imply that I have feelings for her still either, so I think it’s safe to say that she doesn’t have any sort …

Sorry to hear that man, I hope you’re doing okay. I think what I really want is true female companionship, cause atleast my efforts are going to one person. I also think that I’m very skeptical about allowing that to happen due to the separation/divorce. I think prior to this marriage, had I met the girl I just slept with then, I would have been all for it. This girl makes it pretty obvious she’s into me, she accepts me being a single dad & finds it attractive, has no kids of her own, etc. She’s…

Everything about this post, from the words by the OP to all the comments, makes me feel so much better, yet so much worse at the same time. How are so many of us dealing with the same woman? Why is it so difficult for women to take a step back and look at things through a non-biased lense and just admit that it takes 2 to make shit work, and that it takes 2 to let shit fail. The first thing they comes to mind is.. if you pulled a hot one before, why can’t you again? I’d argue that there’s no reason you can’t. For months I felt like my ex was hot as shit, and don’t get me wrong she is, but I think the distance made her seem hotter than she really is. THEN, a few days ago I connected with a lady that makes me ex look very mid in the nicest way. She, in very short, wants my dick, in and around her mouth. (Please get that movie reference). Gym, healthy diet. Those two things will be the foundation to your confidence. Dress well, stay groomed, carry your self like you fucking matter. Doing those things consistently will pull looks and attention from attractive women pretty much every where you go. Hey! Fuck all that nonsense. You are living in your own head, killing your self mentally. We have ALL been there, and we absolutely know what you are feeling. I am here to tell you it’s lies. First and foremost, your social status or ex wife don’t define you as a man, nor does your medical procedure. Yeah, that is fucked in a way. But honestly, are you really THAT bad? Highly doubtful, you really can’t be. She’s got her issues that she thinks she can dump on someone else eventually if she pays enough to escape her current reality. That’s a person who you should steer far away from. The gym is essential. It is the foundation to your best self, I absolutely promise you. It’s SO difficult to find the motivation to get back in the routine of going 4-6 days a week, but once you force your self to go for a week, the second week becomes more desirable. Very honestly, what I had to do to get my self to go consistently the first couple of weeks was literally stare at my self in the mirror with my shirt off, and ask my self if I honestly felt ok with what I looked like. You gotta let go of the body count rule. Not even because it’s unrealistic in today’s world, but because you’re never going to get the real number. They will tell you the count they’re comfortable telling you, and that number is absolutely not the real number. It’s a battle that will never be won, might as well discard it and accept that people fuck ALOT, and that’s just how it is.

That’s great! The point in avoiding dating, especially seeking long term, would be to give your self the fair chance to heal and give your self the gift of self love and awareness. I think we all get hit with the wall of loneliness, and it does suck. But that’s when we are most vulnerable and will willing put our selves into a fucked up situation again. And that’s ok. I wish you the best as well! IMO, if you can get over your ex without using other women to do so, it’s a flex. Not only that, but you’ll build character, self worth, and self appreciation like no one will ever be able to provide for you. Being this kind of man is a huge turn on for women, and that’s when you start pulling the best of the best. That’s just how I see it, and this is my way of making sure I’m always taking care of my self.

Haha my man I haven’t had an angry day in months. There’s no bitterness either. If you truly found the right person for you, good on you! You are the exception, not the norm. It in fact does not suck to be me, and I’m very happy with that. I spent 9 years with someone who made me feel like I wasn’t of value, and I personally don’t care to ever be in a situation like that again. I directed this at the broken men who jump from lady to lady in hopes that they’ll fix his problems. I’m glad you’re ha…

I feel that! I would say most of us, if all of us, can agree that looking at the ex now shows no resemblance of the woman we married. It’s crazy how these ladies can hold face for so long, and then all of the sudden up and go. It may not be the hottest take, but I’m happy for you holding on to your trust for 3+ years. That means you haven’t found anyone worth your time yet. Something pre-divorce you probably would have ignored completely. I am the exact same. These guys are not brave for throwin…

Precisely. It’s wild cause about a year ago, while still married, I had this uncontrollable urge to get snipped and I did. 1 year later I am know thanking my self to the heavens that I moved on that when I did. No more babies for me 😎
/r/Divorce_Men10/03/24 03:35 PM

Totally get that. It’s nice to have someone pay you attention and give you a feeling you did not receive while married. My point is we ALL have the ability to do that for ourselves tho through self work. The goal is to get to the point where you absolutely do not need someone else to provide you with any self worth.

See how you let a woman define you, then needed more women to prove than woman wrong? You define your self my man.

I get that we all have our own needs, and everyone’s situation is different but not one of us would suffer from taking a break entirely to become the better version of our self. A woman is not going to make you a better person. The right one may help you continue to grow, but not until you’ve done the ground work to establish your self and your own security. That’s where I feel most if these dudes go wrong.

Let her tell whatever to whoever. It literally, and I mean literally, does not fucking matter anymore. If she’s going around lighting shit on fire, let her. Handle your self with grace, and be respectable about the end of the marriage. Not only will you feel better about your self, everyone around you will see this, as well as what she’s doing, and know who’s the fucking lunatic and who’s not. You got this, we’re all here for you if ya ever need it!

I feel that there’s a very happy medium between the two, you just have to do the internal and external work to get there. It’s very possible to be happy to be divorced, knowing that you were with the wrong person and you are very much so better off on your own. You can love your self, your free time, and your ability to rediscover who you are as a human, and a man. You don’t have to be around a woman to be happy. You can do your own shit, day in and day out, happily, all without a female there t…

I’ll admit, she wasn’t all bad. There’s probably the perfect dude out there for her that matches her energy and mind set, it’s just not me. She did me wrong at the end, but I’d be lying if I said I hated every moment of the marriage. She taught me many valuable lessons, good and bad. Also, she gifted me the biggest blessing in life (aside from my kids), which is the situation I’m in now. I feel fortunate to have gone through all this before I hit 30! Now I can use it all as knowledge and fuel to…

Thank you! That’s a hilarious quote. After spending all of my 20’s with one person, I’m looking forward to spending my 30’s “leasing”. Can’t say for sure life has other plans or not, but my mentality is certainly using my 30’s to focus on my self, my kids, and my career/retirement. Women can be a fun side hustle, not something I dedicate all my time and effort towards. I have my kids, don’t want more. I’m snipped, so there’s no chance of that being a thing anyways. I kinda set my self up to do t…

Exactly. I learned everything the hard way unfortunately. But, it wasn’t all for nothing. I walked away from this marriage knowing exactly what I needed to do if I wanted to become the man I have dreamed of being. And if I meet someone one day, I’ll know exactly who to be, what not to accept and what I truly want in a partner!

I felt like that too. I was wifed up from 20-29. All of my 20s with one woman.. lol but from just about everything I’ve read and heard, as men, our “good years” are not in our 20’s, but our 30’s. I can see why that is. As close to 30 as I am, I can feel the attention out in public from a wide age range of women. Especially when I have my kids with me. I’ll get looks from ladies in their 30’s, sometimes even 40’s, as well as younger chicks in their early 20’s. It’s kinda fun watching them look, a…

My guy, sounds like you dodged a lifetime of bullshit. She hasn’t been gone a year and is already pregnant with another man’s baby? That screams red flags. She’s obviously out of touch with reality, and she’s going to do what she did to you, to that man. Fortunately for you, you don’t share a child with her. Unfortunately for him, he does. 26 is young, as am I at 29. Rather than attempt replace her with someone else, don’t. Focus on your self, get your self right. Get in shape, become more succe…

You’re dealing with common issues, you personally have no issues. You have things to work on, but you don’t have issues. Don’t sell your self short, you deserve a lifetime of happiness. I’m glad my story can provide you something to look forward to, but I promise you will give your self so much more power by looking inward and seeing what you now can do for your self. Enjoy your life, and I wish you the absolute best of luck. You absolutely will kill it 🙂

Man, it’s gross how much I can relate. My 4 year old had to go under ANESTHESIA to have his cavities filled. Not only did my ex allow them to eat whatever bullshit they wanted, candy and cereal being the biggest sources, she also didn’t encourage or make them brush their teeth. I can’t explain how terrible I felt when he had to have dental work. I felt like CPS should have been at our door. Good for you taking the wheel and steering your self and kids on the right path!

I hit the numbness as well. It’s essential. Once you go numb, you can forget about the old emotions for the person that is no longer there. Meaning your ex, and your old self. Take the numbness and use it as your foundation to create YOUR happiness and self love. You will come out on top!

Likewise, good on you! I forgot to mention the gym, it’s essential. At first I didn’t realize it, but I’m happy that what I did for her wasn’t enough or ever appreciated. It helped me realize my actual worth and value. NOW, should we ever find the right woman, well know what we are worth and won’t accept anything less. Keep going my guy, you are worth everything to your kids. Be proud of your self!

I’m gonna add one more in here cause it’s important for daily metal health. My house is fucking spotless, always. Even with kids. We clean up after our selves, and maintain to house. Laundry is done almost daily, dishes are done twice a day. Beds are made, bathrooms are kept clean. This is all shit that having a SAHM the majority of a marriage, couldn’t be done. She also claimed as she was leaving that I’m gonna learn how hard it is to do these things. 😂 You’re limited to what you believe you ca…

Yessir! It’s unfair how much frozen fried food they had to eat cause cooking was simply too much of a task. I’ll cook every meal for them, happily. It is such an overlooked thing that makes me feel like I’m looking out for them, while also showing them that you can do things even if they take time

I’ve found a ton of pleasure in re organizing and deep cleaning the house. It never occurred to me until the ex moved how filthy women really are. Deep cleaning every room has been very rewarding as well. It feels great to slowly put together a place that is to my liking, and my liking only. I’ve also found getting out of the house, even if it’s just a run to a random store for no reason, is helpful. Lastly, I’ve really enjoyed grocery shopping and meal planning with zero regard for another adul…

No worries man. You’ll be amazed at what happens the moment you make your self your highest priority and make her completely irrelevant. I personally get a huge confidence rush every time I make my STXW subtly feel like she ain’t shit, cause well, she ain’t shit and we both know it 😂 Again feel free to message me if you ever need someone to talk to. It helps ALOT having someone you can relate to going through this.

I didn’t make this clear. As with most men here, my STBXW wanted the divorce. She initiated, she told me I’m not what she “wants or needs anymore”. I promise you dude, I feel and heavily felt your current hurt. It’s absolutely the worst. Use that hurt as fuel for your comeback. One day, she’s going to see you and regret her decision leaving you. Then she’ll get to spend her whole life knowing she fucked up and fumbled you. That’s a lifelong win for you!

You’re gonna be fine dude. I’m 1 year older than you, going through the same shit. I do have kids with my STBXW, but our timelines and backstory are very similar. I’m relatively fresh to the whole shit show as well, we had the divorce talk and started moving forward with it about 3-4 months ago. She won’t admit it, but it’s pretty obvious she developed an emotional and or physical relationship with a co worker. She’ll take that shit to the grave with her as it would ruin her reputation with thos…

Hey man, recently went through something very similar. My STBXW and I got together when she was 18, I was 19. I am now 28, 3 kids deep with this bitch and the moment (about 3 months ago) that she gets a new job and is away from the house, she gets the feels for some dipshit who has no idea what he’s in for. Decides to terminate the marriage and blow the whole fucking family up. It completely fucked me up. I was a complete disaster. I simped for her to stay, I gave up any self respect I had to at…

Dude, I’m sorry, but you absolutely need to hear this. The only person making your life this way is you. There are countless men here and even larger amount not involved here who have all been cheated on, even multiple times. You are not unique, your story is not special. You can’t change your past, but you can 100% control your future. You can’t possibly think nothing good will EVER come to you in life again. I have zero fear of pulling new females. Literally the last worry of mine. I get attention from all age groups of women, all shapes and sizes. I’ll be fine lol Really, my biggest fear is the kids, but your point is fair. I don’t drink or smoke, I know it’s poison and would be detrimental in this situation. Good looking out, thanks for the relation. Your comments alone have gassed me up and given me confidence I haven’t had in months.

Fellas, thank you all for the support. There’s a common theme amongst everyone’s opinions and experiences.. the more I read the less unique I feel. I woke up, read the comments and felt like a new man. Thank you for the clarity. I know none of you but feel like you all just saved my ass & pull my head out of it at the same time. Thank you homies.

You’re not saying anything I haven’t already thought. Every fucking thing you said I feel deep down. I guess I’m nervous of taking the dive but I don’t know that I’m gonna be able to avoid it much longer. I’m a good looking dude, fit, make great money. I also have a high sex drive and my youth. Was your situation pre divorce similar to mine?

Thank you. I definitely disagree with the thought of me being not supporting of her. I’m sure there’s more I could do, there always is, but I’m doing my best given the circumstances. I have enough difficulty with the environment she’s in and still put forward by best efforts to make her feel like I want her to succeed. What do I get as support? Nothing, really.

Thank you for your opinion. I’ve read countless subs on here about indefinitely within the first responder profession, which aids to my worries. I brought this up to her before she accepted the job and she was really offended. I didn’t and still don’t know how to take that. I have no reason to believe she has the intentions, but I also know that can change at any point. I’m not worried about the job it’s self, the hours, the demands. I’m simply bothered by exactly what you mentioned. She’s going…

I agree. The initial talk of divorce/separation was a result of several errors I had made that led to a tipping point. Up until this job of hers, she was a SAHM and I think she felt how I do now, used and taken for granted. Essentially I got angry with her over very little things, and I think she lost it. She was SAHM when that happened, so I really don’t think a different dude was in the picture causing that.

Thank you so much. I refuse to call her a cheater based off my own fears. She’s been good to me, it’s just concerning how little I seem to mean to her at this point in time. I will look into those podcasts!

Agreed, but she’s not a cheater to my knowledge. I’m not defending her, but credit is due where credit is due. I mention the text thing because the lie it’s self is what throws me off. I read the texts, they were fine. The lie is the problem.

The sex thing began before the new job, and she spends no free time of hers any where but home. I don’t see how she could have time for an affair at this point, and I truly don’t think she’s cheating. I was thinking more along the lines of she’s just not interested anymore but I’ll keep an open mind.
