There is a problem with this and I can explain. It is the framing. Excuse me if I sound harsh but modern westen women especially, have an insane sense of entitlement. They want men who's standards they themselves don't meet. There is a popular video of a very average looking women (4 on a good day and most of you will agree with me) complaining about a "chopped man epidemic." Sometimes I think they do it on purpose and it's CIA funded manufactured ragebait (lmfao). I've seen other videos of...no…

There are substantially more young women than men (between 18-29) who are having sex and are in relationships believe it or not. Check my last post I have citations.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 04:35 AM

Because we don't have as much of a victim complex over tiny things. I watched a bit of "Off Campus" and there is a ton of male "objectification" there. I can tell it's made primarily for a young female audience. Didn't offend me lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 10:56 PM

It's an observation of what I am seeing. We are going through this sort of weird reversal of gender roles right now. One of them is more "trad" men going for women like that when their options start to dwindle. I don't lack confidence. But the authentic version of me is more quiet, introspective and reserved. This is a bad combo if you want to find someone as a man lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 01:00 PM

The biggest hypocrites are usually the progressive women because they'll say they like one thing on paper and respond to something else. There is cognitive dissonance and a lack of self-awareness. Either that or they're being deliberately dishonest.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 12:54 PM

It goes back to the idea of performance. No matter how you put it, men have to perform. Otherwise, their chances are little to none. As cringe as this term is, I call it "jester maxxing". If the more fake version of me performs better than the real version, something is up.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 12:52 PM

I mean they never did lmao. Look back on culture. We are conditioned a certain way. How many love songs, books or films are there where it's the girl trying to woo the guy? Just a thought.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 07:19 AM

Great film. I really enjoyed it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:59 AM

Love Island is terrible. I think it's causing actual damage to people's perception of human connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:50 AM

What do I do if I'm into Phillip Glass and Dune but the chicks around me are into Love Island and Olivia Rodrigo? Okay, I kid but I think you get my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:26 AM

Excellent point, yes I agree. Heck, I have this issue too. I have my own routine, the way I like to eat, train, clean, everything. I don't want to go out and eat unhealthy crap on a "cute date." I guess that makes me unromantic lol. I think capitalism and individualism did a number on a lot of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:22 AM

I don't buy into that racist crap if that's what you're curious about. I'm literally brown skinned lol. But I believe dating apps are abysmal and turn every human being into a set of metrics on a stat sheet.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:00 AM

I promise you I do not. I have women in my life who like me a lot believe it or not, without me ever having to actively try to get them to like me. And of course, I mean in a platonic way. The heart wants what it wants, we are wired to want connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 05:53 AM

Not sure. But many of us agree hypergamy is real. As women level up, they are shrinking their own dating pool because they have little to no men to "marry up" to. That's what the data suggests. It'll be interesting to see what happens to us in the next couple of decades because we are going through times of substantial social change. Despite my downer tone, I find it all very fascinating lol. Imagine the western world being brought to it's knees due to abysmal birth rates because of hypergamy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 05:47 AM

I mean I do have an answer for this. You can sort of seeing it happening already but on a smaller scale. There ought to be a market crash and a market readjustment of some sort. When you have perfectly good men having to go to South America or Asia to find a loyal partner who likes them back, something weird is up. But I am afraid the dudes might be to desperate and horny to not pork the 2/10s and prop up their egos.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 05:41 AM
1

When a woman says, "There aren't enough great men for all of us.". What she is indirectly saying is that she's pissed that the top tier dude she wanted didn't want her back or used her just for sex and now she's taking it out on the "beta" males.

No I actually have received compliments on my patience in the workplace. I promise I'm not trying to brag. But like I said, it's a double edged. The calm and quiet demeanor can come off as apathy to some but it's useful in tense/stressful situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 11:40 AM

I had taken an interest in man-woman relations and dating dynamics. I had seen and read a lot of stuff online and went down a rabbit hole. I really like this subreddit because it actually let's people of diverse opinions discuss things. And you actually have nuanced and good quality counters to mainstream status quo takes. I've struggled in my personal life as well to understand and connect with regular people and women. As a young man myself, I have sympathy for young men. It makes me sad when …

I did not say in my post you can talk only once or twice a year with your partner. That's stupid, even I know it. All I'm saying is women have more expectations out of a relationship than men and they expect more time together generally, which I believe is true based on what I hear and see. Speaking for myself, I'm a fairly quiet and restrained person. People like me for my patience. I don't yap that much with anyone lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 07:27 AM
0

I am not saying you are wrong and that men don't struggle to open up. But part of it is a fear of shame, ridicule, mostly from women. Y'all (not you) spill people's personal shit to "bond" with your friends lol. This I have unfortunately seen and experienced. I work with mostly women. I also don't think men desire to yap that much. I can't keep up with their personal stories sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 04:28 AM
4

I mean thanks for agreeing but I'm sticking up for men lol. I'm showing that some of the backlash men face on the internet is more of just a social difference rather than a flaw in men.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 03:54 AM
3

Now this is very interesting. I can half agree. I do agree men need stronger social networks. At the same time, I'm just...not interested in people as much as a lot of people. When I talk, my topics go into things like film, music, history, gym, tech, investments, even philosophy, a lot of things. But it usually isn't people and their personal lives lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 03:48 AM

Nope. :(

Facts hahaha. I was going to make a post like this. For all the misandrist crap on the internet, a lot do those chicks have bfs and husbands too. Texasgardenfairy, Alex cooper, they're getting married. The women I have personally met who talk the most crap about men always have someone too.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 12:46 AM

Someone cute, kind, respectful. Treats me as an equal. Literally that simple. I'm not even the super clingy type. Of course I want to love and be loved but I don't want an "obsessed" gf/wife like some women seem to want from their man.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 11:04 PM
3

There are a lot of shy, socially awkward guys in this younger generation. I'm sure the internet the social media has exasterbated these issues. Heck, you could be very smart, interesting and not know how to "sell" yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 11:03 PM
1

Yes you are right. But I've never found someone similar to me who I liked who liked me back. There was this one girl couple years ago but that could never go anywhere because she had a bf. But to address your point, I feel like a niche product rather than a mass market good. Because my interests are also more niche. I might be on the spectrum a bit I've never been diagnosed. I like to keep my mouth shut irl most of the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 04:32 AM

No I am confident in who I am. I know what I like and what I want from life. I don't compromise on who and what I am.

Ay man I do my own taxes. It's sort of in my field. Not nearly as hard to figure out as this stuff lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 09:55 AM
1

Well here's the thing. My interests are sort of niche. And I don't say that as a flex. It's kind of unfortunate because most people around me and especially around my age are clueless about what these things are or don't have much interest. I'm not a "nerd" perhaps. I'm not into geeky things but I do get nerdy about the things I love. And that can be anything from Pink Floyd, Popol Vuh to Blade Runner and Dune. I hope you understand what I mean. I take a big interest in film and music and the cr…

I'm sorry but modern women are hypergamous. They're not looking for an equal, they're looking up. You have hard 5s and 6s looking for dudes who look like Chris Hemsworth haha.

Woke ass people will shame the people consuming porn but not the ones making it haha. It's either both or none.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 07:11 PM
1

Okay, I was banned for a day but I can give you a proper answer. Once again, people have an issue directly addressing the heart of the problem and facing an uncomfortable truth. Suppose you have a grad classroom on 10 men and 10 women. 8 of the men want 10 of the women. But 8 of the women only want 2 of the men. Do you see the issue? After so many years of evolution and survival of this species, female hypergamy is deadass going to bring this civilization to it's knees haha. A good chunk of wome…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 02:07 AM
0

All good points. But you don't address my point about women being hyper picky and only liking dudes who outclass her. Also, I have no idea where y'all alive, but I'm in Canada, and men here nowadays play a very active part in raising the family. When you take away men's social upper hand, they're basically like women and women become more like men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 07:49 PM
2

Sorry if this is a bit off topic but I just saw your last post and you literally admit there's few men that turn women on just by looks alone. I feel like a lot of people low-key agree with my worldview, they just don't want to take the mask off and admit it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 07:48 PM

I think that's cope with all due respect. Women would rather die alone than not be with a dude she finds attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 07:06 PM
3

You don't see how unfair it is? Even if you don't empathize with those struggling it's still a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 06:52 PM
0

Yeah a lot of people here don't have knowledge or experience of the bigger world. For context, I've lived in two VERY different countries/cultures. Hypergamy has always persisted. Women in broke countries prioritize money and women in rich countries prioritize looks but they always look upwards lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 09:07 AM
5

Lmao exactly. There are a ton of holier than thou progressive/woke women who will use physical insults (short, small dick), call guys broke, gay etc, when the mask comes off.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:07 AM
1

Good question. But I can see why some would consider it a "test." I think it's good.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:02 AM
5

Wanting a man to chase and jestermaxx for you doesn't seem like equality to me. The conversation is always about what's he's doing, what he's providing, how he's improving her life. Never the other way around. Gee, I wonder why?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 10:44 PM
7

I think people in the comments are completely missing the big picture. What is actual going on. It's a classic case of hypergamy. As women gain more jobs/wealth/status, their bar raises even higher. Less and less men meet that bar. Even ugly chicks nowadays want Chads. Therefore, these men go to other countries where they are a lot more appreciated. That simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 07:20 PM
2

Wait, I have to stop you for a moment there. What makes a relationship between people from two different countries any less real? Are you saying the "transactional" nature doesn't exist if it's two people in the US or Australia? Surely, you don't believe that. If you've lived in these places you know it's not true.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 07:14 PM
3

Most people agree that hypergamy is real. They just don't like the phrasing. Bluepill people especially get uncomfortable talking about it. Because it contradicts their framework.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 06:23 PM
4

I mentioned that women have a higher risk of danger in my post.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:48 PM

I have female friends and I've still been chronically single for years. I'm being totally frank, I don't even think it's my looks. I've had chicks show interest (hint) at me. I feel quite disconnected from the average human lol. Like there is something off about me in a way that is difficult for me to describe. I have absolutely 0 desire to put energy/effort into "bagging" a woman. I believe in true equality. A partnership shouldn't require chasing.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:33 PM
2

It is high time that people acknowledge how redpilled they actually are. There are just too ashamed or lacking in self-awareness to realize it. They repackage redpill ideas in a different (more woke) formatting.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 10:56 PM

I agree with you unironically. The idea of having to "date" seems like a modern day humiliation ritual for men in the modern world. It's kind of cringe. I don't want to bother someone or make them uncomfortable and I typically prefer keeping to myself and staying out of people's way frankly. People respect me because of that. It would be cool to skip the "chase" section and get to the happily married and comfortable with each other part. But alas, you gotta jestermaxx if you're a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 10:43 PM

Sometimes y'all just unintentionally confirm red pill beliefs without realizing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 10:40 PM
1

Do you go into a job interview not expecting to get it Do you go for an exam expecting to fail it? No, am I right? Therefore, it's okay to have expectations/hope. That's not the same as entitlement or me saying women owe men something. Doing something just for the hell of it without an objective is a waste of time for focused men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 07:18 PM
5

Chicks throw themselves at top level men they barely have to try. And this is not a red pill take I have seen this first hand many times. The hottest and most successful dudes I know take turns dating different women.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 07:15 PM
1

You repeat a process when there is genuine enjoyment and fulfillment in it even if it tough. I don't mind dying a dozen times over in Elden Ring. The chase is not fun or satisfying in any way.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 06:35 PM
0

Exactly lmao. No one want to give up privilege for true equality. If you already have someone carrying a load/taking a risk for you, you have no reason to carry it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 05:10 AM
1

As the kids say, jestermaxxing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 10:57 PM
6

I don't like "the chase." Am I not a man? Most men or at the very least, half of Gen Z don't like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 10:56 PM
5

That's not chasing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 10:54 PM

Learn detachment. Have no expectations of this life and you'll never be disappointed.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 07:59 AM
-2

Okay, allow me to rephrase this. I don't agree that men "age" better necessarily. However, if you take a hot 45 y/o man and a woman, both are fit, successful, and sexy, all other factors being equal, the man has substantially higher smv. He can bag hot women in their 20s.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 09:00 PM
2

Oh my bad, sorry. I misinterpreted what you said. So you sort of agree with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 01:14 AM
3

Women are functionally men in society. Of course, you know what I mean. I don't mean literally. If you live in a developed country, you can do practically anything a man can. I know chicks who work in construction here in Canada. You can work hard and build a good life on your own. Women don't need men anymore. You don't need a "protector." Even I know this and I'm not woke.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:13 PM
4

Women are not more valuable than men. This is one of the most ironically & deeply sexist viewpoints that redfems/woke people like to push.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:10 PM
6

Brah stop tying your sense of self worth and being a man with validation from women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:09 PM
3

A lot of people are shallow. What are you trying to say? Humans, generally speaking, are way more superficial than they care to admit. And yes, there are peer reviewed studies which prove and expose this. The halo effect is real. Even murderers have fans when they're super hot. In day to day life, people subconsciously attribute positive traits to very attractive people.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 08:16 AM
3

As someone who loves the gym and loves playing Elden Ring, I'm offended (I'm kidding).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 08:01 AM
1

Great example. People don't like the market analogy because they think I'm "reducing people to products" even though I'm not. It just happens to fit the topic quite well.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 02:47 PM
1

That's from an interview. Not a peer reviewed study.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 01:41 PM
3

That's not what the data says though. Look at some data from dating apps for example. In simple terms, most men find most women attractive enough but most women do not find most men attractive enough. That definitely says something.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 01:17 PM
1

It usually has to do with income/wealth and social status. It's proven through various studies and large scale meta analyses that women go at least equal and ideally up. The weirdest find was that even among women in the highest income groups most of them had partners/husbands who made more. I feel like people try to muddy the definition to avoid confronting the truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 10:49 AM
-2

There is usually significant correlation between income/wealth and social status. Apples and oranges. I don't think I have to explain this, you know already. Almost the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 08:31 AM
15

What you are saying does not contradict what I said. I explored this broadly in my post. You basically agree with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 08:21 AM

Translation: Most of you will die alone and you should be glad about it. Haha. Bro come on.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 08:13 AM

Both men and women have standards. Of course. But the thing men complain about online, and in my opinion rightfully so, is women's rigid and inflated standards in the modern world. Generally speaking, it's a lot easier for an average woman to get a date compared to the average man. This is partly due to the fact that the pursuer (man) has to put in a lot more of the legwork in the courtship process than the pursued (the woman). There are also more single Gen Z men than women. No, it's not becaus…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 05:22 PM

I will never understand why women say take dating advice from them instead of men who have successful dating lives. The fishing analogy is sort of accurate, it doesn't mean you're equating women to fish. There's already a common pattern of women saying one thing and responding to another. Here: https://youtube.com/shorts/JSbKJgapaSw?si=q-qUQ_34tSW9APWO In surveys, women vastly understate how much they care about physical attractiveness. Another extensive study showed that how good someone was in…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 02:11 AM

Bro women are not nearly as "woke" as they make it seem. Go tell your progressive gf you're low-key bisexual and you've been fucked by a dude before and see how she reacts. 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 11:09 AM
1

This should be obvious, everyone wants more options so they can pick their favorite one. It just happens to be on average a broader selection for women (although I agree there will be more shitty options). This is why the "casting a wider net", fishing analogy is used.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 11:07 AM
2

Oh my friend you are getting so close to seeing the sad truth for most men. I have said this many times before. Of course, people here will say it's just about sex but it's much deeper than that. Men have an inmate attraction towards women which women don't towards men. This is precisely why men have to do the whole song and dance, wooing, "jestermaxxing," whatever you call it. You have to win her heart. Women keep saying that we set this system up. Who is this we? Love is treated like a conques…

If you go back to the "It is whatever you want it to be" definition the terminology has no meaning.

We live in 2026. There's more pressure on men to be masculine than there is for women to be feminine. Most men do not ask for trad wives or a stereotypically feminine woman.

No, there is more to it than that. OP is actually spot on and I talk about this in a lot of my posts. Women still love the benefits of a patriarchal culture. How? You don't see them planning dates, buying gifts, buying the ring and proposing. Even the most progressive chicks you know expect the man to come to her and "court" her because it's the man's job. Feminism for me not thee.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 08:42 AM

She should respect me because I would respect her. This is an odd thing to ask. I also want to add that, most women like men who lead. Not dominate but lead and I have seen this time and time again. Yes, even progressive women. Even girl boss women find non-leading men a turn off. I learned this the hard way because I can be too laid back for my own good. When a woman is strong she wants a man even stronger, for example. Otherwise, she struggles to respect him and have attraction for him. This i…

For me, it is genuine. And this might sound weird, but my most positive female role model growing up was my mum and she embodies most of these traits so ideally, that's what I want in a woman. She has a lot of traits I genuinely admire. I think more people should be like her. For context, I'm also a fairly boring guy and I don't like drinking, smoking,. partying. My definition of fun is going to the gym, perhaps a nice hike, or playing Elden Ring lol. Some men say this but then contradict themse…

You are absolutely right. When men say they "hate" promiscuous women it's bullshit. You can't say you love sex and also hate women who want the same thing. It's simply a lack of self awareness and downright hypocrisy.

I made a post on this a few months back and a lot of people agreed. Gender roles are a lot more strictly enforced on men than women. Both men and women do it and yes, even the "woke" ones.

I think what you're trying to say is that since getting dates is much easier for women generally speaking, it's still a much better experience overall because having romantic experiences (even if it includes some shitty ones) is better than having little to no experience at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 01:17 AM

I have said this before. Women are not nearly as "woke" as they make it seem to the outside world because reality and actual preferences come out in practice. Shy, meek, type B personality type men have a terrible time in dating because they're seen as less masculine. Whether it's subconscious or conscious, women have a strong attraction to masculinity and they don't even realize it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/26 09:25 AM

My favourite is when they can't counter your argument so they just call you a sexist/racist to shut down the argument. I'm a brown dude. One of my closest friends is a woman and another one of my friends was a gay dude. I don't like to virtue signal, I'm just trying to prove a point. Like bruh, you know nothing about me and who/what I am. I would wager a sizable chunk of involuntarily celibate men are on the progressive side. 🤣

Brother we are terrified of embarrassing ourselves. Some of us have a good reputation and friends/acquaintances that include men and women and would hate to see it tarnished. I admit, this is a bad cope because you ought to go after what you want in life but it is what it is. To add to all this, we're also quite cynical. Nope, you're wrong here. You take even the most sophisticated of men, they're a lot easier to turn on, generally speaking, than women. It's pretty well known. No, that does not mean they want to fuck anything and everything but a man's "barriers to entry" or requirements for being turned are less. Of course dude you're debating with reddit feminists! If they don't like what you have to say they'll just call you a misogynist when they don't have any rebuttals. This is a classic move used by people who are way too emotionally charged. They'll call a brow guy racist and a gay man homophobic for saying shit that goes against their narrative or dares to question it.

Okay, I think you're pushing it. I do agree that people exaggerate a bit especially if you live in an actually developed country like Canada and Australia because there is no systemic oppression here. I want to add a bit more to this. If you are a woman reading, think back to your romantic experiences or hearing about these things from your friends. I disagree with your final point. Go to places like Miami or New York. There are "chopped" guys who have no issues getting dates or finding partners. A subset of women will throw themselves at you if you have a boat. And if you become a passport bro, it becomes ultra easy mode.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 05:31 PM

Yes thank you! This is something I bring up that baffles the older women on Reddit because they probably weren't like that but you don't know it until you've lived it. They just want to invalidate some of our experiences and call us hateful incels for voicing legitimate concerns when we are nothing like that. I just think women's standards now in the west are ludicrous and no amount of inner or outer work will be able to bring up a decent chunk of men to their standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 08:25 AM

Okay, perhaps chase is an exaggeration but you know what I mean. Let's call it an active pursuit. Women lose interest if you don't pry at and simp for them first. They move on even if you are attractive.

I say this a lot. People will say I'm being dramatic or playing victim but these type of women are just straight up sexist but don't want to admit it. But I would argue we like a lot of the traits in the opposite that we don't have. Women like men who are like a rock during tough times. Men like women who can provide emotional support. It is a real issue though, is it not? Yes, it might seem like the world is "overpopulated" depending on where you live but that's actually bs. There's a lot of resources to go around. The elites want this. Couples save money (living in the same home for example) and the powers that be don't like that. They're not mad about bloodlines dying off.

I cannot help but feel like there's some jealousy. Women in their late 30s and the 40s know that the successful and attractive men their age are going younger (20s) and the only way to clap back against that is call them creeps for doing so even though these are mature and completely capable adults they are dating.

Just be realistic. Look for common hobbies/interests. Don't ask for Mr Perfect when you're not perfect yourself. If he/she's awesome in some key ways, accept some flaws. I have a theory. Sex = Validation. It's the ultimate form of validation if you really think about it. "You find me so attractive you want to do that with me?" It's not just about getting off like people think.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/25 05:44 PM

Great comment but I feel like you're low-key confirming some redpill/blackpill views because what you're essentially saying is finances is a big part of what attracts women to men and when you take that out a lot of women lose interest. Women like to frame it differently and say "stability" to make it sound nicer and not seem shallow. If that's not a depressing thought idk what is.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 03:58 PM

I don't think that's true. I can tell you without looking at any data that most relationships start cuz the guy makes the first move. If dudes completely stopped trying we'd go extinct haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 02:54 PM
5

That's fair yeah but like I said, I think there's a deeper layer. Both from what women irl and on Reddit say, it's not a stereotype to say women's attraction is more complex and receptive. Which is why women fall in love more as they get to know you so it's kind of up to you initiate. It's almost universally true that men generally fall in love more quickly. That's one way of looking at it.

Let me tell you something. I know I use this line all the time but it's true. Some things in society haven't changed all that much regardless of how much people's social views change because there's either some deep conditioning or biological underpinning to it. This is why women still like masculine men no matter how much masculinity is demonized. And what's a strong signifier of masculinity? Taking initiative, making moves and going after what you want. Women find that attractive and her havin…

Men get shamed for lacking masculinity and I am not kidding. You don't seem to understand that in the modern western culture, women are not pigeonholed but men are. As a little example, you can wear suits, practically dress like a dude all the time as a woman and people won't question your femininity or sexuality because it's so normalized. Men who lack masculinity get made fun of by both men and women. Another example, people are a lot more accepting of bisexuality in women than men. Even bisex…

It's a double edged sword. It really does feel like women have more compassion sometimes but that leads to them being somewhat dishonest as to not hurt feelings. So I have this theory and there's an old saying that (it is a generalization but let's continue) men are like lightbulbs and women are like iron box. Basically, it says men's attraction is more quick and simple and women's attraction is more complex and gradual and the replies here and what I've seen confirm this.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 01:54 AM

I agree only in the sense that if she doesn't WANT to have sex with you, that's a clear sign of a lack of attraction or satisfaction in the relationship.

Uhh perhaps it's where I live but I see a lot more fit men than fit women I'm just saying. Even most of the objectively fit and good looking dudes are coupled up with "bigger" women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 12:40 AM

Okay, so I wouldn't go as far as that ("treating women like appliance") but what I'm saying is women simply get more invested often. Like it doesn't have to be grand romantic gestures. This is why I used that example. Women like fancy dates but men just like chilling at home.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/25 12:13 AM

Do you truly see the world as just man (oppressor) and woman (oppressed)? That's really sad and a shallow black/white view of things. Who has more privilege in the west? A white blonde woman from a upper middle class family or a brown man from a poor family? Do you think the homeless guy crying on the street has the same "male privilege" as Elon Musk? Do you have empathy suddenly if it's a gay man?I hope you understand why the framing sounds so braindead. It's so much more complex than that.

Most people around me like me. I'm well respected even though I don't have people that close to me. I don't want to brag but people compliment me on things like my patience and level of articulation. How I handle rude people or certain situations. But I have the charisma of a brick wall which wouldn't be an issue if I was a woman. How come I've been chronically single for so long? The game is very different for men and women.

I don't agree with this sentiment and I haven't seen it played out. If men are bad at regulating anger, women are bad at regulating sadness/upset. We default to the emotion that is more socially acceptable for us to express in negative times. Also, I think it's kind of hilarious that some people think simply being more outwardly expressive equals emotional intelligence. But I do admit, women are better at being social and building a sense of community now.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/25 11:37 PM

People have different definitions of fun. I made a post once where I got shit on for asking women why they enjoy dressing up, partying and getting shit faced because I do not. My definition of fun is working out, video games, films and music.

There's a lot of preconditions to getting a woman in the mood and in the right mindset. Testosterone is a hell of a thing. Women's standards are bad. One, they are irrationally high. I've explained the concept of "hoeflation" before and everyone knows it by now and why it's a thing in the modern era. Also, women say they filter for good traits like kindness, good worth ethic, emotional intelligence but I don't think that's true at all. You guys still fall for looks, height, money, etc, the most. Generally speaking.

Although there is some wiggle room due to differences in taste, most people actually DO agree on what is and isn't desirable. We have a good general idea. You ask most people here, they will agree that Henry Cavill is super attractive.

Can I be totally honest with you? I say this with no malice but "hoeflation" most definitely is a thing and I see it a lot in the west. The point is the value of women has been overinflated in the dating market. Women get guys beyond their league to have sex with them (because let's be real men are easy in that regard) and think that's their league. Ig that's what the red/black pill is actually saying. Women date up. No, seriously. Look around you. If you pay attention, most women (especially when it's not a high school sweetheart) go for guys older (at least a few years older if not more) with more wealth, status, and influence. Not true. Let me put it this way. Most of us agree that men are generally initiators. If a man doesn't initiate, a woman never will. No matter how attractive she thinks he low-key is. Women will smile at him, act nice, and wait for him to pick up on "hints" which most men doesn't even see. Then if he doesn't get the hint, she moves on. And I know this because I've heard it from women irl. Women's attraction is also kind of reciprocation based and we know they're not known for being bold/forward.…

I..kind of agree with this. But the main issue is when a guy who a woman deems unattractive dares to hit on her/ask her out, she gets creeped out and feels like a victim. This makes him feel guilty as if he's a creep. Then she might complain about it to her friends/rant on social media which damages his reputation. No wonder half the men my generation of men don't ask women out anymore.

Brother it is not men pushing the "nice guy" narrative. It's actually women. Go to social media. They say they want the guy who's soft, goes to therapy, "in touch with his feminine side" but in practice, go for the most stereotypically masculine guy (high income, nice beard, nice muscles, etc.).

I'm generally quite reserved. We already know you have to be the persuer as a man and I am anything but. I don't enjoy it. I like to stick to my routine. I'd say I'm at least decent looking and I've received a few compliments so I don't think it's my looks that's really holding me back cuz I've seen uglier dudes with dating success. Now the biggest issue is I legit don't know how to do romance. No game. I haven't been on a date in so long. I don't understand the culture anymore. I don't know wha…

This is highly, highly unrealistic. I'm sorry to burst your bubble but the only people in this world who MIGHT (big might) love you unconditionally is your mom or dad. My mom would love me even if I was a total bum, unemployed and playing games all day. But that's obviously not what she wants for me. Romantic love has conditions. Even I would fall out of love eventually if the woman I'm with switches up and starts doing shitty things I don't approve of. Goes both ways.

Idk how to convince this subreddit but things are much harder in the younger generation. Social media, COVID, internet, it's a lot of factors. I know and talk to a lot of people. Older folks (millennials and above) are so much easier to talk to. A lot of Gen Z lacks basic socialization skills and sense of community. Go to your local grocery store. You'll see the uncs chatting it up and there's a nice sense of community. I'm not exaggerating. It's sad.

Men like feminine women the same way women like masculine men. And it's not just a "performance" of femininity. It's not necessarily about what's on the surface. You could be jacked and still lack masculinity. You could wear nice dresses and makeup and still lack femininity. It's about the essence because people can see and sense it. Like a woman who is naturally kind and nurturing. A man who is naturally confident and leading. Maybe I'm getting too philosophical but I hope that makes sense lol.

This is a very cynical take. They're lonely because there's no reciprocation of interest from women. I can say with confidence there's guys out there who would be good partners but they don't qualify because either they don't meet the standards of women in some way, or they are too damn shy and socially awkward.

Two things there. As long as you're honest about what you prioritize the most, it's fine. What I mean is don't say you care the most about him being a good/kind man when looks, height, status, matter more. Second, this is the controversial one. Women's standards are kind of inflated in recent years. Men are more desperate than women are. Let's be real. To put it bluntly, you have 3s demanding 8s now. Women have more access due to dating apps. But I agree with you that it's all a supply/demand th…

For the past few decades, the western world has been pushing hard feminist messages. Which is fine if it wasn't for the fact that propping up women comes with men being seen as less and if there wasn't some man hating in there. You see a post of a parent teaching her son how to treat women with love and respect, it's met with praise in the comments. But if you see the same thing where it's a dad teaching his daughter how to treat men well, it's met with ridicule and negativity. A younger co-work…

The devaluation of motherhood is one of the most disgusting things I have seen in the west and it breaks my heart and that mothers have been delegated to the back burner like this. We need to make it a more prestigious role. Women should be proud to be good moms just like how people with good/high paying jobs are proud of their positions. Moms literally create the future generation and a good vs bad mom makes a huge difference.

Women are only romantic after a certain point in the relationship. With a lot of the initial things, the burden/cultural expectation is on the man. Even the most "high value" men like, let's say Chris Hemsworth, aren't getting proposed to. He's the one doing it. Women have no interest in changing aspects of the dynamics that are in their favour. Most irl actually love it, regardless of what redditors would tell you. Just an observation.

My bad. Allow me to elaborate. He's a very kind man. He is genuinely nice with everyone and I have known him for years. Yeah he's tall too. I brought that up to show just how bad the market is right now. His flaw is he is socially awkward and he's a bit on the spectrum. My point was charisma and looks go way further than just kindness, which is what most women would have you believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/25 06:10 AM

This is totally true. I hear this sentiment so much online and yet reality contradicts it. I have a co-worker who's an incredible man in every way (he's fit and tall too) and yet he struggles a lot romantically. Yet the D1 athletes in my school never have issues. I don't like sounding like a redpiller but there is some truth to what they say.

I... completely agree. The way guys call women "bitches" as a joke when women aren't around contributes to the casual misogyny. These same men will cry at a "men ☕" type joke. I don't like sounding like a cornball but a lot of people can do better.

I won't disagree. However, I would argue that both men and women have become very fixated on looks. Especially my generation (Gen Z). Have you not seen women obsess over height, muscles, tattoos, chiseled jawline, etc? Now there's another layer to this. As a man, to be successful in dating, you need certain character traits. Women, even the shy ones, do not like meek and shy guys and I have seen this everywhere. Almost all women like confident guys. You can get away with lacking confidence/initi…

You are actually right. As a man, I will not deny that I value looks to a pretty good extent. It's something I noticed about myself quite early on and I'm self-aware. However, the issue stems from the fact that, in my opinion, my generation of women have gotten a bit too delusional in terms of their standards. This is kind of a weird take. Do you not desire to be desired by the woman you are attracted to? Pretty sure both men and women are turned on by this. Perhaps women care a bit more to be desired than men do on average, but you're not getting into the nuance of it.

Okay, let me rephrase. Sorry if my phrasing is poor and because this is a late reply. What I meant was women across social media like Instagram and TikTok talk about how much they value kind men with emotional intelligence. Yet in practice, it's the stereotypically masculine traits such as accomplishments, muscles, height, etc, that attract women the most. I mean that's what I observe in real life at least. Your post encapsulates perfectly what I rant about often here. The passivity of women is insanely annoying. Since society doesn't shame women for being "cowards" or lacking initiate, most women are conditioned/used to the guy making all the big moves. It's all on the man. I call bs. Yes, I think those terms are kind of goofy and reductive. However, they definitely have some ground. You can literally look at a group of dudes and tell which one is the alpha. The most naturally dominant and confident guys have the most success. Contrary to what redditors tell you, very shy and meek men suffer irl in many aspects.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 02:39 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/25 12:42 AM

This is bs my man. I hate to shatter your perception but some of the best men I know happen to be very attractive. Your assumption of "attractive guy = narcissistic asshole who thinks he can get away with more because of his looks" does not coincide with my reality. Same with women. Looks really don't have much to do with what kind of human being you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/25 12:37 AM

Yeah I don't agree. While I am open minded, I would prefer my partner to be somewhat traditional. You ask most guys, would you rather be with a woman who makes dinner for you or one who goes out to clubs on the weekends? What do you think they would say? Regardless of worldview. If I fit the mold of a traditional man, it is not hypocritical to want a woman who fits that somewhat as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 09:39 PM

See now I don't agree that it's only ugly/undesirable men becoming passport bros. I've personally seen a few fairly high SMV ones. As this becomes more prominent, it will piss off more people. And quite frankly, it makes sense from a supply/demand POV. Yeah but I'm just saying, women have only as much power as you let them have. I don't allow myself to get played. If that means being alone for longer, then so be it. I would like to be with someone who actually likes me instead of just tolerating me. Then I can prove my love for her too.

Okay, "dumped for listening to Lana Del Ray" sounds funny when you say it but that is a real thing. As much as women like to preach, even the liberal/woke ones think less of a man when he fails to live up to certain standards of masculinity. Marriages where the wife is significantly more successful almost never last even when the husband is good. There is data on this stuff.

Men and women are not the same. It should be obvious to us all but now. Just because you might find a guy with a PHD in economics very attractive, does not mean that will blow a man away haha. A woman who is genuinely kind and caring is more likely to pull a high quality man. She could coincidentally be very successful too but that's not important to men.

You have a point but it's not the entire picture. The main thing I have noticed is that women generally don't have issues finding bfs unless they are morbidly obese or something. On the other hand, I know legitimately good looking guys who still don't have partners. Now does this have something to do with them being too shy/introverted or being on the spectrum? Probably, yes. I (22M) gave up a long time ago. Women put 0 effort unless she's reaaaaally into you. I will only approach someone in a social environment and there are clear and safe signals. The girls I know are all either from my classes or work. All that empowerment but you guys are still passive asf. It's hard because we simultaneously get women complaining about being approached and also complaining about how no guys ask them out anymore and how Gen Z guys are not manly.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 05:06 PM

Perhaps my phrasing was poor. I believe we are just arguing semantics. Yeah so I'll reiterate. It's not a need to stay alive. But it is probably a need for most people to lead a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 07:40 AM

When I hear "need", I don't think of something as an absolute necessity to stay alive. Do I NEED to see my mom ever again? No. But do I deeply want and deserve to? Absolutely yes. Do I NEED to go to the gym? No. But is it a necessity for me to be healthy and happy? Yes. See what I mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 04:55 AM

Thank you! Yess, I agree. The dehumanization of people desiring sex and intimacy is disgusting. I've felt this weird guilt for so long (partly due to where I'm from, the culture and my upbringing) for feeling/wanting things that are perfectly normal and healthy for me to feel/want.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 04:52 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/25 02:08 AM

My point was that women's passiveness isn't always because of a fear of danger or consequences. Y'all are just passive even with small things and then you'll complain about how no one listened.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 11:33 PM

Not really. Wasn't my point. It just doesn't make sense to me. I thought liberal women were girl bosses but even they are conditioned to expect certain things. If you don't believe me, one of my coworkers straight up said once, "He's cute but he never approaches me. I think he's gay", about a boy. 😂 Absolute comedy gold.

I believe you're a statistical anomaly in this case like my friend I mentioned. Anyway, if you actually ask women, most of do not like making the first move. It's scarier for them than dudes. It also robs men of a traditionally masculine role. Courting has always been the man's thing. You throw the ball and then the woman decides.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/25 06:04 AM

I agree with the part that feminists say they believe in equality but don't actually fully believe and practice it. A big example is the discussion around paying on the first date. So many will complain about how "men today aren't man enough (shit that redpill alpha male bros would say)" and how they don't want to pay anymore. They want traditionalism from the man without being traditional themselves. Feminism for me not thee. Very ironic lol.

Please don't throw personal insults. You do not how I am irl. Women are legit often afraid to be completely honest because y'all like to virtue signal a bit. Not saying everyone, obviously. Ask a woman if you look fat/ugly in an outfit or if you look like you've gained weight and it's likely you won't get a direct answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 01:25 PM
3

I do not believe those statements. I don't think I am entitled to anything in this world, honestly. But I still believe dudes are probably more honest on average. This is because women are conditioned to be "nicer" meanwhile men can be more blunt. At least in my experience but it could also be because I'm a dude and so they just say whatever comes to mind in front of me. Women will (sometimes) say things in a group and later contradict it in private. I have rarely, if ever, seen a man do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 01:12 PM

There is some truth to this. It's a harsh reality that understandably pisses people off but I don't understand why people get so worked up. Old dudes who take care of themselves have incredible pull. It's not misogyny. Youth in women is incredibly valued. If you want to get scientific, men's skin has more collagen and age slower. Women's sex drive and physicality drop substantially after menopause. We all accept tall and rich men have the most pull. Ask most 22 year olds and they will say Brad P…

There are negative consequences. People can deny it all they want since they are not "directly" harming anyone. However, there are "negative externalities" in social terms. People get traumatized, mental health issues arise, friendships get ruined, a lot can happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 06:14 PM
1

My point was about certain inherent differences. I never said we're not equal but we are not the same. To be the same would mean we'd me measured/compared equally in every aspect which isn't the case since men and women's sports is different, for example. When I say man's//woman's game, I mean that if someone has a strong genetic predisposition, that person has a huge upper hand. For example, someone extremely tall when it comes to basketball. I'm not sure where you got abuse here.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 06:10 PM
1

That's not what those words mean but I see where you're going. I agree that if both partners contribute roughly equally then they should have a roughly equal distribution of housework as well. No disagreement there. But that wasn't the point of this post.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 08:21 AM
5

It's bad. Destigmatizing sex work will only normalize it. We're already seeing it actually. The number of people doing OnlyFans is alarming. It's not good for the person doing it and those who consume it. I don't like using this argument but imagine if it was your own child doing it. You don't even need a religious or traditional angle to see what I'm saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 12:23 AM
2

I don't understand why this ever offends people honestly, as long as your partner isn't being straight disrespectful. It's for your own health and well being. If I was jacked and suddenly became fat asf, I would be okay with my wife confronting me about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/24 05:16 PM
1

Except society does not treat us the same. Even the most progressive ones. As a man, you can be an absolute saint but people will still trust a woman more with their baby than you without knowing much about her because of preconceived notions that they have. As a man, you'll be seen as more competent in certain other fields.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/24 01:23 AM
2

But I mean it is true though, right? I use the example of height and basketball, for example. Someone very tall is obviously predisposed to be way better at basketball than an average height person.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/24 11:11 PM

Please don't throw personal insults. Anyway, I did not say that's not a factor. My point was even considering that, there are differences. We naturally gravitate towards different things, again, generally speaking. Doesn't apply to everyone as there are always outliers. Even in an isolated scenario where we could control for variables, there wouldn't be a roughly equal distribution of interests and the majority in the sample of men and women would gravitate towards different things. Denying thes…

Woah..chill. No I do not believe there's "jobs for men" and "jobs for women" and I am not sexist, even if you try to make it seem so lmao. It's more like, some people are more predisposed to certain things more than others. Vague statement, I know. Someone tall is predisposed to be way better at basketball. I used the word "woke" because I legit couldn't think of a better term. I meant a particular subset of progressives, obviously not all of them.

No my male friends don't think I'm a dick. Also, I didn't mean literal fighting. Just play fighting. My bad for the poor phrasing. I would most certainly argue women are easier to offend. Men are typically more desensitized. For your last point, the bear vs man thing has some serious implications that attack an entire sex so I can kind of understand why dudes get their panties in a bunch over that one. Women on the other hand, get offended by smaller things. If you want anectode, this lady got o…

The dynamics are simply different. For context, I do have a close childhood friend and we talk about everything. For guys, especially as you grow older (in your adulthood), it's very difficult to find solace in other men. In your first para, you put men treating women in a negative connotation, which if course exists. However, I would say I treat women slightly differently than men and I am appreciated for it. So clearly, women don't want to be treated exactly as how dudes treat each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/24 07:47 PM
-5

I can be a bit physically rough with my male friends which female friends would not appreciate. More importantly, I can be blunt with them and they won't get offended. I can say "You look fat dude cut back on the sugars" straight to my friends face. If I do it with women, they'll say I'm either too mean or cry sexism.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/24 07:08 PM

This whole topic is boring at this point. Anyway, my conclusion is ladies say that they want "equality" but actually most of them low-key love that princess treatment (even the woke or girl boss) ones because that's what I have seen irl.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/24 06:01 PM

I mean you're right but what you are saying can be applied to women just as much, if not more. Women sometimes complain about not attracting the right type of guy, but fail to realize it might have something to do with the way they carry and present themselves. If you want a more "proper" guy for example, a cleaner look and a nice demeanor is likely to go a long way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/24 04:29 PM

As long as you are consistent in your beliefs, and you're "trad" just like you want your man to be, this is totally fine. There are men for you out there who will fit the bill.

Men at large do not care at all about men's issues and sometimes they make it worse by brushing things off. There's a few I can describe in my life as being compassionate. And I'm saying this as a dude who's somewhat traditional so I'm not coming at it from a leftist perspective.

We need genuine support from all people, both men and women. But also, fellas need to step it up. We need healthy male role models.

Harry Styles is a good looking dude and he has a good personality, that's why people like him. But I definitely would not call this outfit masculine. If you define femininity and masculinity as whatever you want it to be, these terms lose meaning.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 06:36 AM
3

I mean yes but I would argue a woman wants much more of the masculinity in her man and man wants much more of the femininity aspects you mentioned in his woman. That's how the sexes complement each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 06:33 AM
13

No I do not believe conservative men are "more jacked". That wasn't my point. Although, I personally would argue, women love certain traditional traits in men but they just don't say it out loud. Discipline and hard work is attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 06:25 AM
5

THANK YOU! You put it much better than me. I am simply acknowledging the reality of things. I'm not putting down women. Even men have strong preferences in terms of looks and behaviors for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 06:20 AM

No I legit think some people don't like men being men. I recently saw a post on a women's subreddit where someone argued boys playing with toys and toy soldiers breed toxic masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 06:18 AM
11

I have heard numerous times that men should tone down their masculinity and embrace their feminine side but this does not work irl. I am not a redpiller.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 06:10 AM

Those guys are also masculine. They're fit and highly competitive. The reason I associate passiveness with femininity is if you go out in the real world, you will notice women tend to be passive and take initiative less often, regardless of what the internet would have you believe. Women typically are not direct and to the point. Even my liberal co-workers who are women lack assertiveness compared to guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 06:09 AM

Getting ran through will not make your perception of romance/love and understanding of the opposite gender better. Being in too many relationships traumatizes most people, regardless of gender.

I'm not gonna get into this messy topic but imagine if we stereotyped entire races like radical feminists do with men. 😹 Suddenly, it would be NOT okay to demonize a massive demographic.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 05:51 AM

Nope you're right. Both genders are attracted to red flags lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 04:41 AM

I mean I'm completely fine with that but with feminist women I will low-key have this fear she's a misandrist. If you focus on championing women instead of generalizing and shitting on men, you're cool in my book.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 04:31 AM

I genuinely don't care about virginity. Those traits you mentioned are more important. The main thing is being a good person.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 12:42 AM

You have a point. I don't disagree but it's still a bad thing right? You don't discount the people selling drugs when talking about drug use for example. And look, I agree that most women are good but there's a sizable chunk who are too entitled. What is your take on that? Society is so keen on "progressing" that it ditches even the good aspects of traditionalism.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/24 11:43 PM

I think our conditioning is different. Men are generally more blunt and women are a bit more sensitive. Men are less expressive which might lead to some thinking men are emotionless which isn't the case at all. Both are fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/24 11:36 PM
-6

I don't think that's it. First off, I think some of these posts are very cynical and assume people are generally worse than they are but when I go out, I see more good people. Anyway, my point is the western world is in a state of cultural degeneracy. It's not "sexist" to say that you don't like the fact that so many women do OnlyFans and sexualize themselves. It's like a "hate the sin not the sinner" type thing for me. Modern western women are more promiscuous compared to modern men which is ki…

This is kinda bullshit dude I work out in a tank top and it's super comfortable. I can see the muscles working, better mind muscle connection and I sweat way less. I don't think women are doing it for male validation/attention.

Woah..this is a bad take. In recent years, there have been excellent gym content creators like Sam Sulek, Noel Deyzel, and Jeff Nippard. These are very humble, relaxed, and respectable dudes who give good advice even outside of gym stuff. You can argue some of them indirectly inspire roid usage but that's a different discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 11:46 PM

I can entertain this idea. I've browsed some women's subreddits and sometimes it legit feels like they're asking for wayy too much. This is probably a minority but that's a thing.

I'm not an expert but I find it bizarre just how mundane things lead to a breaking point for people, and these are grown ass adults. Even as a kid, I would be perplexed when I saw my parents arguing over the tiniest, most trivial and mundane things. It shows a serious lack of maturity. Just do the damn dishes bruh it's not that hard. I'm not married but I swear to God I'll never let shit like that happen.

Do men actually benefit from "exploring their identity"? Most guys I know are miserable due to a lack of masculinity, not because of too much of it. The happiest men I know exemplify healthy masculinity, honestly.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 10:16 PM
1

See I don't actually think this is true. Feminine traits in a man are seen as undesirable/"gay" but not in a woman. Similarly, hyper masculine traits in a woman are seen as unattractive but feminine traits are attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 10:14 PM
5

Wait..what do you mean by "have femininity"? I could be misinterpreting you and I apologize if I am but you're saying a woman simply existing means she's woman enough but a man has to fight to be a man enough?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 09:21 AM
2

I meant to be a fair, I do enjoy stereotypically masculine things like working out and just having manly personality traits (I mean in a good way, like being calm and leading, not dumb and short tempered). The women I've been interested historically have all been into masculine guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 08:30 AM

You don't think it's kind of depressing that women and children are seen as having inherent value and a man's value is derived almost entirely from what can do/provide?

I am sorry for what happened to you. You are right we can never understand someone's perspective fully if we haven't shared their lived experience (which isn't possible) but I've experienced some similar things growing up. For your final point, that's awesome that you have that perspective but you are probably in the minority of progressive women who believe that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 06:56 AM

Yeah...I think women do that too. Not the "calling a man gay" part I mean questioning a man's masculinity/validity as a man.

I don't think that's true. The people struggling don't all fit the category you are describing. Even people on series self-improvement struggle with isolation. I feel like society in general is dismissive of men's problems because us as a whole, we are seen as the "privileged class" as if I have anything in common with Jeff Bezos lol. People only care if it's someone extremely close like a son or brother.
