Honestly this sorta sounds like something my brother would do to his wife, but if I say anything to her to show concern she paints me as the bad guy. Feel sorry for her future daughter-in-laws.

I watched one clip. He started the podcast and it was essentially his younger brother that was carrying the show. I remember he even mentioned me on it and his brother showed disapproval to him for trying to date a young person.

Horrible, darling, simply horrible. As soon as I sat down he demanded to know why I was single and kept proceeding to ask the equivalent of what is wrong with me from the time we sat for coffee until I hopped in his car to go to a nearby theater and then I finally asked him outright if he wanted to know something bad about me; he responded with, "Yeah!" And then rambled on about how he dated a beautiful woman and when they were about to have sex he discovered that she had a male organ. He looked…

Lol. I did that tho. Before FDS a 32 year old invited me (20 at the time) for a coffee date. I put on an oversized hoodie with tears and these tall-ass woodland trackers. No perfume, no makeup, nada.

I had horrible internalized misogyny from being in the Mennonite community. Now it is kinda funny but ever since I started on FDS I have been more openly hostile and argumentative with the guys that comment stupid sexist shit and I encourage the women to be selfish instead of thinking they have to be sacrificial (I remind them the men aren't doing the same) and in recent months I noticed the women are opening up to ideas of feminism; something I would never have thought I would see.

My mom had surgery to remove a tumor and now she has to deal with the excruciating, painful aftermath of the surgery. The male doctor told her she should consider herself lucky that it was removed instead of complaining to him about the pain.

The thing that stuck me was how he went and told countless people--especially other women-- about your guys' marriage. It comes across as manipulative and trying rally up people who are against you. They probably have a false belief about who you are based on his retelling of events/ would be difficult when shit hits the fan to get out because people would think you are whatever negative person he portrayed and would not support you.

I can debate relatively well. I noticed that when it is clear I have the upper hand in the discussion, men would berate me, either calling me an emotional woman (when I have not been emotional) or saying how it is a waste to be 'teaching me' when they have not said anything to substantiate what they said.

I remember browsing the boy section and my mom complaining to me that it was odd that I wanted boy toys. I felt embarrassed and thought something was wrong with me. Also the girl clothes; since we are tots we are conditioned to wear extremely uncomfortable clothes for the sake of looking pretty. When I was very young (4 or 5) I wet my pants at my aunt's house because I didn't want to be in her bathroom with her giant turtle (she kept a turtle in her bathroom). I saved a pdf file about primate mating strategies. To try to summarize the study: Female primates get attacked and mangled often by males that want to mate with them, so female primates do either two things: form a coalition with other female primates to protect themselves, or find a singular male and 'king' them. Human males are rare in that other male primates rarely collaborate with other males to secure female partners; this is vastly advantages them. Marriage was invented by men as a way t…

I never gave it a chance. Sister-in-law put it on saying how her and my brother absolutely love it and maybe like three minutes in I noticed the laughing track going over everything anyone said and I told her to turn it off.

Humans are closely related to bonobos. Female bonobos have mostly same sex relations with other females for clitoral simulation and actually prefer it over sex with males. It is clear that there's a duality to sex with the females of both species.

I want to just keep working. Own properties and just get several IVFs in my 30s. I feel like even if a man is good to you, marriage would essentially be both of yous fighting for HIS dreams.

A contrast that I believe would portray quality characteristics is a man who is willing to defend a woman from his peers. A bit of an alien concept😅.

That would be tough. I have the book and it occurred to me to send it to her, but my feeling are that she wouldn't accept. She told my cousin's wife that she liked me but we did not get along because I disagreed with her submitting to her husband. Even though my mom defends my brother she is also bewildered by my brother's wife and calls her a masochist. But she is fighting back by putting corn in his meals which he hates. /s

It is not about forgiveness. It stuns me because he does call my mother on the phone and begs her to drive several states to his house even now when she is in her condition but cannot drive here himself as an abled bodied man. Edit: this was out of left field because of his present relationship with our mother.

Hey, thank you for your message. Friendships with men can be extremely elusive. As for me and my brother, we are practically strangers with our mother being the only window we have into each others lives. Aside from losing the chance to know my nieces and nephews I have alot to gain from not having him as part of my life. Right now my fears are with my mother. Her mom passed away last year so I mentally calculated that I would have my mom near me when I reached her age, not lose her in my early …

I don't think my mom is narcissistic. She had an abusive childhood and vowed to not be like her mother. Her mother was a major pickme who prioritized men above her children so my mom made sure to boot men out for our sake, but failed to grow as her own person while trying to fulfill her goal of not being her mother.

I do not see my mom as an emotionally smart person or someone who thinks far into the future. She is sad that my brother and I do not get along and has told us both for years that she would like to see us reconcile before she dies.

I mentioned in a previous comment that we both had a tough childhood. My mom was abusive, but as we grew older she found solitude in my brother's company and I often found myself the item of harsh criticism between the two. After he left she tried to become friends with me and I didn't appreciate that. She has apologized to us both and said that she cries herself to sleep remembering what she subjected us to. We both had a rough childhood. Single mom who wasn't very present mentally and tried to commit suicide in front of us when we were children. He found solace in friends and community and I disengaged mentally from people and hid myself away. He engaged alot in what I now know as sibling rivalry although I didn't know I was a participant. Edit: he is closer to my mom than I am so that is why I find it shocking. There's is more to relationships than a brief synopsis for those who think it is ironic…

He knows that if I move, mom moves. He wants my mom over there to help tame his "out-of-control" tradwife. Told my mom a few months back that there was more cons than pros and she attested to it after staying a few weeks at his house a couple months ago.

It is a punch to the gut especially how he called me selfish a couple months ago for not wanting to uproot myself to live near him and revolve my life around his. I thought I might have been selfish especially when mom found out she has lung cancer, now that I recall he never made an effort to come see us; we had to go to him.

This reminds me: I was watching 10 Things I Hate About You a couple weeks ago and I recall feeling icky when in the ending the female lead was trying to warn the guy that if he ever did what he did again there would be consequences, but she wasn't allowed to finish what she had to say cause he forced a make out session on her. And she was ok with that? Like he was essentially telling her that what she was saying didn't matter to him.

I am a little cluttery myself since I rather do projects than clean all day but I am not filthy. When I was a teen my mom gave my room to some missionary guy while I slept in her room and after months he left and I found a plate with crusted up residue from food lounged between my bed and the wall.

I read a book called Christy right after I graduated from highschool. I finished 400 pages in two days and kept opening it to read parts. The romance is mediocre but it hardly causes a ripple as the focus is on Christy and her interaction with mountain folk.

Oh yes. I saw the trailer a couple days ago and wanted to share it here but didn't know how. The trailer basically summarized the entire movie and I could already tell from the start it was going to be one of those films. Sadly, no negative comments about how the guy catfished her and how selfish he was for doing that, and actual comments calling her a hypocrite for I guess changing her personality a little bit for the dude she was attracted to initially.

Saw a video of a female police officer getting a gun drawn out at her while she was making a stop. She was super sweet to the man but the man was a murderer who had a warrant and wasn't the owner of the vehicle. She shrieked and begged him not to shoot but still had the mind to grab a hold of his gun and prevent him from firing until her backup came and killed the man. Growing up my older brother would yell into my face for looking at him like in normal conversations and would try to provoke me so that he could hurt me, but I was too smart for that and would do what I now know as grey rock. He told his friend and I only found this out in adulthood that my brother harbored an intense jealousy for me, how he thought I was smarter than him while calling me stupid to my face. He used to say often that he liked my personality but wished that I had been born a male.…

Question: I been hearing about how women don't ask men out because women can't handle rejection. Women are constantly rejected or told they do not measure up and that they need to take a different route in all areas of their life. That women simply can't have it all. I do not see women hunting down men because they were rejected; I actually see women interacting with these men in platonic ways afterward because he has changed in their mind from suitor to good personality to befriend. Where are t…

I used to go to a Mennonite school and the male staff especially would scoff at women for 'wanting to have it all'. Like only men were allowed to have both a family and pursue their dreams but women were supposed to be sacrificial and just be homemakers and pursue hobbies inside the confides of home and their husband's paycheck. There was a male rape scene in Outlander. I remember when it first came out I was too young to watch it but I knew about it because of the internet rage. I think it was also about the same time that the character Sansa in GoT was raped by Ramsey.

I hate this custom so much. Women are the ones who painstakingly manage children and yet their identity disappears in these family trees to fulfill the blackhole that men are. I said this before-- I don't think places with high femicide would have this problem if women kept their last names and passed them down through their daughters, but for men it is all about passing down their name and daughters become a vehicle for men to do so. Truly insidious evil hidden in plain sight.

My schtick is that usually these people that are prolife are also against homosexuality and think it is unnatural. Well too bad for them homosexuality and terminating a pregnancy is natural because they occur in nature. If they are so against unnatural they should stop driving cars and eating foods that are processed.

I was talking to a red pill guy a few months ago and he kept twisting and distorting what I had just said and asking me sexual questions when I made it clear before the video call that I was not interested in him and he agreed that it would just be a talk about differing beliefs. He also had the audacity to victim blame abused women saying they should have known better and dated nice guys while pitying men that were getting abused. Also thought he was a good guy …

In Mauritania where plump is the beauty standard, some women force feed their daughters to prepare them for marriage. As women we are limited in our influence over young men. It is up to them to want to change. There was a video I saw a while ago how an African man who started a 'walk in her shoes' marathon. The men put pots on their heads and infants on their back and walked. The man who started this didn't have a good influence growing up; his father would beat his mother up in front of him. He didn't justify this though, instead he goes around and tries to teach young men the importance of equality.

Men have more fast twitch muscles meant for fast short burst of strength. Women have more slow twitch muscles for long strenuous work. I compare it to pipes. The pipes have the same amount of water flowing through, but one pipe is bigger and the other smaller. The water flows more freely and with more strength through the bigger pipe but it doesn't last as long as the smaller pipe. A good physical example of this would be a marathon; a woman could not possibly beat a man in a short race, but kee…

There was a story on another subreddit of a man who forced his wife to cook a meal for guests and clean up when she wasn't feeling well. She begged him to take her to the hospital and he even admitted she wasn't one to complain. When they were in bed she cried and he then decided to take her to the hospital because he said that her crying wasn't letting him sleep. When they got there the doctor said that her appendix had burst and if they waited even a few hours longer she would have died.

I believe I heard a theory somewhere that male stoicism rose during the Industrial Revolution because people left the village to go work in factories beside strangers and it would have been unwise to share your emotions to people you did not know. Before that men used to cry, hug each other, kiss each other, and it wasn't consider gay. Hell, emotions were the epitome of the male experience and it was believed that women could not feel as deeply as men.

He says she's the most beautiful woman in the world and there was a time when I offered to help paint with them in their house and he said no because he wanted this to be his quality time with his wife. Just cause men made most inventions doesn't mean they're smarter. Imagine Telsa and some meathead dude having a quiz and everytime Telsa answered the meathead dude who has superior strength would choke him for beating him to the answer. In the end the meathead would win because he stomped on his competition not because he was competent. Men know that they are the meatheads that can't win in a fair fight so they stomp out women's drive whenever they can and other women help them out because there…

I keep thinking of my Mennonite friend who's a woman. She believes women shouldn't have the right to vote. Of course it doesn't really matter to her because her church doesn't believe in earthly affairs like voting so no one does in the church anyways. Just really pissed me off because she was an instructor of mine and one of the reasons I would get panic attacks because the pain of just existing as a woman was too much for me.

I watched it in a documentary a while back. It was about how the wild west was built by women most notably prostitutes. They used man's urges and were able to gain an unheard for women amount of wealth for themselves. These women accumulated so much wealth that they started building towns where before the men only pitched tents. I am not saying that it was good to be a prostitute and oftentimes widows and poor women were dragged into this lifestyle. The sexual disease was rampant and the people …

It happens in movies too. The woman is usually there as a side character that listens to the main character's (man) problems. Yes, and even now with supposed equality, we still have to deal with society's slow progression. Men seem to have this idea that now that we have equality in writing that we are supposed to be where they are economically. They do not see the conditioning women go through as children. There was a study that went along like this: parents were more likely to google search 'is my daughter obese' despite the fact that more boys than girls are obese as well as more likely to search 'is my son gifted' …
