Exactly, if you have many female friends, I'm not sure the value of having anymore. Most people only have a Finte number of friends they can keep in touch with on a regular basis.

Quick question, are you answering as a guy? Would most women agree with what you wrote?

Haha... Apparently I was drunk when I wrote that...I couldn't read it myself. Needed serious editing!

They do, but they don't meet in clubs and bars.

So you are saying you are confident even though you do get rejected and can expect a high rejection rate? Some people just don't have that level of confidence. They go out and even without approaching they can tell women are not interested. You would approach regardless?

I do understand what you are saying and the best way to do it is to not give a damn about your rejection rate or what people think of you. Be confident regardless. However, there are an unfortunate few for whom this is far harder. For example shorter men or certain ethnic minorities that most people make assumptions about and respond to in a particular way. That said, I do get it. It's just not easy.

So you attract women who just want hookups. Where do you go for them?

I dunno. Look, I'm no better at this than you are. All I'm saying is I have learned it the hard way. I have tried to be friends with girls only to then lose them to their boyfriends and that is painful. As I said it's far more painful because you've built a very strong, emotional relationship with them only for them to just disappear. Ask anyone here. Being friends with girls is not easy. Even if your intentions platonic, because you can develop emotions for them. This has also happened to me. E…

I know you asked this a while ago. Trust me you don't want to learn this hard way. The problem with friends-first is it's also a massive time waster and pain driver! There are times when you are just good buddies and "friends" with a girl you are attracted to. Look (before the girls kill me), its not always nefarious. Sometimes you like a girl and you want to be close to her even without escalation. This just happens naturally, sometimes without yourself realising. But then, if you ask her out l…

Because you are in the same circles as her and will keep seeing her even when you don't want to.

this situation isn't good for you .. if you never met them before and only wanted to date then Drop them. (if you are part of a wider social group already together suck it up and work out how to DNGAF/move on) It wasnt a one of friendzone. It was a friend I never escalated and missed my chance. She has boyfriend now and im still talking to her, though quite distant. I'm OK with it, but I don't want anymore of them!

This is assuming you have good control of your feelings and have adequate other potentials running in parallel.

Because most people here just want casual sex… They aren’t planning on getting into a serious relationship. Which means that being friends first is counterproductive to that goal, and it only wastes everyone’s time. This may be true given it is pick-up sub reddit, although seduction technically not the same thing. But I think this might be a little unfair. The problem is, as you also say, once in friendzone, always in friendzone...it is irrecoverable. It wasn't me, but a girl below who echoed th…

If you have read my post, you would know that I have female friends, quite a few in fact. These are women I had no second intentions from the beginning. I also have a friend through being friendzoned and made a conscious decision of continuing a friendship with. It was not easy. At some point, being friends with women you find attractive and had intentions with being romantic with at the outset is largely a waste of time for both parties. You seem to think it is an insult, but this is where wome…

In others base your responses on their reactions. And also see what works in the long run.

Could you clarify what this means. Like how does registering how someone speaks to you help with your responses?

It seems what you're saying is proceed regardless... until she mentions it

What was it like to be a backup guy at a party?

But what are your intentions on this platonic "hang out"...do you think you will escalate?

Just following this conversation. What would you say is the difference between what the OP is suggesting and asking her out?

Actually, I am open to relationship with the right girl, but I'm under no obligation to make it happen. It's just a few dates and if it it happens it happens, even after sex. She could also dump me all the same. I feel that sometimes women believe that men always have that player and wanting sex and scram afterwards mentality, that leads to men running for the hills way to early. In fact, many men look for compatibility and don't want to commit unknowingly. Dating and enjoying yourself shouldn't…

Wouldn't looking away immediately mean she is shy and actually likes you?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
