Noone want to be the lone wolf, the weird recluse that stays quiet and alone in the corner of a party. On the otherhand, I am an introvert. Trust me, I can be sociable, crack a few jokes, join in group discussions but I don't like to do it all the time. I also feel that to please everything and make everyone happy makes me cheesy, desperate and an idiot in the group. I prefer my persona to be calm, collected, serious and mysterious. But if you go down this route, you could come across as weird, unapproachable and awkward. So how do you find a good inbetween?

I was out the last three days and met a few people. One guy was a total bubbly, extrovert, crack a joke every passing second, giving people the idea that he is a social butterfly, possibly over the top, but likable and confident. I don't think I can be that guy. I don't want to be that guy. The most I can be is sociable, conversational, capable of holding my own in a group, but someone who shines in one on one interaction. Where are you on this spectrum?
