Your "culture" - aka the men where you live - has brainwashed you into thinking that all western women are inhinged sluts that throw around their own bodies, dress like prostitutes in an 80s movie and do abortions for sport... But have you ever actually met 5-10 avarge women from Europe or America? They dress modest (or what we call it - for work), play boardgames, bake, take care of our children, grocery shop and make dinner for our friends on a weekend and 99% have been lucky to never have to …

Second hand/Passive smoking is linked to increased miscarriage, stillbirth, and ectopic pregnancy risk. It's literally poison. We all know it but he's OK with you inhaling it and therefore it reaching your fetus. Putting everything aside except one thing here... has this dude ever left his basement? "That's why women don't work out. You never see any women ever work out because it's hurting" like what? Has he never seen a woman jog? Has he never been to a gym were a woman lifted anything? Has he never watched any sports/olympics on TV? Has he never seen a woman swim? Bicycle? Hike? Climb? He seriously hasn't left his basement.

Not banned, but had ALL my comments on one thread removed after telling a girl that she shouldn't ask out men first due to them undervaluing you and seeing you as desperate or text a guy that ignored her 2 weeks after a date and acted flakey. They all want to just hear the same thing "Stop playing games and text him if you want what if he is shy, girls should be chasing too and yadayada"

I found it interesting that shes actually trying to reason it with "they say I'm a child and not a woman capable of making my own decisions because I married a 40 year old when I was 19" YES. I'm so tickeled everytime I see there's a new episode! Amd btw the mortgage culture is a thing I Sweden as well - EVERYONE I know/knew bought an apartment/house before being married to their partner and before 30. And the houseprice-salary ratio is a joke in comparison to U.S IMO. People take 3,000,000 loans with salaries of 300,000/year before taxes.

Sadly this was one of my ex's. I never made a list and just said: please buy coffee - he bought coffee for a French press instead of regular grinded coffee for the machine we had for 2 years already... please buy a curling iron - he bought a hair straightener. I was angry, he was pouting but man come on how stupid can one actually be - why do you even have a career? How the f did this man manage to buy the exact right graphics card for his computer ?

One of my coworkers went to his sisters wedding for one week in the U.S (we live in Germany) and his non-US girlfriend is not allowed to enter the country, so he bought her and her best friend a one week vacation in Mallorca the same week so she could go and have some fun while he's away.

These men probably think that "a girlfriend" should always be at home with her legs spread ready, smile, make food, clean after him and never challenge or question his choices, insta-likes, laziness, videogame addiction and clubbing everyweekend. Because that's not a girlfriend that's his mom ugh sooo annoying

Sounds like my ex, he was "afraid of having a wedding" but if we had 2-3 kids in 10 years (we had been together 4,5 years) then he would maybe consider to probably propose🙄😒 I told him to go fuck himself, dumped him and moved to another country.

Easy - look at Scandinavia and France for example, where the legal minimum ages are around 16. When I was that age my classmate (F16) started dating a M28 that she later married and got 3 kids with. Before FDS I used to see it as a bit wierd and thought that well ok love has no age limit. Now I'm enraged that her parents didn't stop the pedophile. She was 16 but looked like 13

Been in this situation, and the problem Is she felt embarrassed infront of a man she already then decided to not see again. If the guy says split it in half when his stuff is more than 50% just say No, my part was way less and I will only pay for my own meal now. Stand your ground. Makes them feel shame!!!!

Gross age gap aside, no matter what type of sport. Unless HE is the couch or one of the actual players/contestants in the Olympics - there is NOTHING that is "very important to WATCH". He can check the results later. But watching any game live is completely and utterly pointless in this situation. What a bunch of lies. How have so many women bought into this bullshit. Never let any man convince you that you are less of an importance at ANY point in your life, healthy or sick - than a sports even…

In the same way men that cry about gold diggers never have any gold to dig, men that have the audacity to ask a woman they just met/started talking to "What do you bring to the table" don't have shit to bring themselves. Normal men with good careers, health and stable relationships in general and without insecurity issues never ask this.

Don't live in Sweden anymore but did for 23 years, dated 10 years and it was only walk dates or movie at their place-fidsy dates within food. 50/50 on everything, proposals to my friends after 5-11 years of living together, most people have kids and buy a flat/house before marriage and they all expect sex on date 1-3. For me it's the opposite, here I Germany most I not everyone I know (men and women) have Telegram and use it for work as well as private and for hobby groups. So redflagging it here would be silly, but understandable in the US. I've actually promoted Telegram here many times based on that you don't have to give out your phone number to a man therefore are able to block him there later and he won't be able to contact you anywhere else. Glad to have this point highest! I've seen some posts here months ago and in the chat were a woman talks about having "met" a HVM here on reddit and talking with him for months. There's no such thing (not saying that HVM doesn't use reddit, just saying that I doubt they are trying to meet up with another stranger on the internet, this site is paradise for cat fishing - and hat fishing.)

My thought is that it's an exception outside of countries like U.S, if you live in Germany, Sweden or Denmark it's not unusual working at a company with 2000-4000 people I the office buildings and there's only 1-2 POC maaaaybe if even. So as someone that had coworkers in Sweden who had a black girlfriend that was literally the only one in his circle of friends, family and coworkers and it would be fetishism if he would try to seek more out instead of just befriending the person

Lol I wonder the same, I'm Swedish and I read the book, so there it's very obvious that it didn't have to do with her being Swedish, white, European or anything like that, but about how she made him feel about himself and how he viewed her as a kind soul when they interacted.

He was my roommates professor in Borås (City in Sweden) I read the whole book about his journey. She had even started dating another Swedish guy by the time he came there and they had some arguments but he still stuck with her. Libfeminism is literally only composed of acts that benefits men: us pursuing them, us paying for the dates and then us sleeping with them after a 30min first meeting. I stopped calling myself a feminist in Sweden after this was the only things it became assocciated with together with unshaved armpits and salary complaints.

My biggest hobby is paragliding, its both expensive and time consuming (often gone for at least 6 hours up to the full weekend normally) and a glider change costs between 2,500-4000. A total set is 6000 and there's alot of gadgets for competition that are between 300-700 as well. I've chosen my dates/men based solely on if they are OK with this hobby (I have others as well when the weather is bad) because there's no way I can live with someone who I have to excuse my spending and trips to the mo…

Here in Germany a nice bouquet flowers like that or just roses/tulips are between 2-12€, most around 6€.... there's NO EXCUSE to not buy everyone - your girlfriend, mom or friends flowers whenever- at least ones a week. Yet I dated soooo many men that never bought me flowers here pre-fds. Only got 2 bouquets before I got exclusive with my current boyfriend that buys them every week.

I need to remind myself of this wveryday, spent a total wasted 2 years in a horrible relationship during my prime years. Also spent 5 years I my 20s but it wasn't horrible so didn't feel wasted. Sometimes if you only had a good relationship in your past you don't know how to watch out for a bad one, i learned that the hard way and have to be grateful j spent so much time in the bad one because it led me to an even better relationship now than I ever had before.

I decided to just stop contacting her and to never invite her anywhere close to my boyfriend. I don't want her so say any pickle shit like "If I had a bf like you I would pay 50/50" or "You shouldn't have to bring her gifts and flowers every week, I would be fine without any gifts"

Noticed how he first calls her a "birthday girl", and when he's called out as a predator becomes defensive and changes it to "birthday woman" to seem right. He saw her a girl. Don't fucking deny it.

Thank you! The attitude and government rules are very different! Swedish people are more politically correct, passive aggressive and restrictive of who they talk to (you don't talk to the neighbours in the hallway, stay long to talk to the pizza guy while waiting for your pizza, say hello when you come to the waiting room at the doctors or good morning to the mail man). Denmark is more against foreigners (read: racist) and basically just sent all refugees during the crisis of 2015 over the Bridg…

I cheap effortless but personal thing I like to do when I've dated for more than 4 months but less than 1 year is to either make a picture (illustration/photoshopped), a inside joke text or a photo and order it ON something (Like a mug, a puzzle, glad coasters, a towel, socks whatever) it's cheap (often under $20) and doesn't reek of over-effort.

Yes in terms of equality in the household (read: when you're living together in a long-term relationship) men there are equally contributing to the household. HOWEVER after living there until. was 27, being in a long-term relationship and seeing my friends relatonshiips: a word of caution. Sweden is famous for being a feminist country. This is an interesting question I've looked into previously (I'm from Sweden but don't live there any longer since...well you guessed it - a lot of men there hate women.) There's one small article about that this was actually ONLY changed because of the U.S market: https://svenska.yle.fi/a/7-667768 as well as a more inept article about the tile change and how the original title of the book upset the anti-feminist people of Sweden: https://feministisktperspektiv.se/2011/12/23/flickan-och-draken/ …

Girl nobody defended him. She just said that he's an old hook up that is lonely and texts all his old hook ups. That it doesn't mean that he's into you as you think, just because he remembered stuff. You're giving him credit because his memory bank works. Secondly, nobody here called you a wicked cheating witch either. Agreeing with this. When a woman proposes it's usually because it's come to a point where it's waaaaay past when the man would have done it. This is a classical example: Bought a house together, have a child together and him calling her his wife! Yet he never proposed because she gave him no reason too! He already got everything! Of course he could live with that and still have freedom to leave on the same day.

This is why I can't settle for less. There's two guys in my office that are like this with their wives, and they always talk so excited about how amazing their wives are, take them to our casual work events to show them off, support them and they are always excited about helping them with everything. After seeing that I couldn't date anyone that's not like this.

I also don't recommend to retire in Sweden, a lot of crime and shitty elderly care (read about how much shootings, rape, explosions/bombings and shit crime it is there as well as how they didn't give a fuck about elderly homes and too many died of covid this year in these homes)

When you say "a date" should it be extremely specific like "5th of July." Or is answers like "Within 6 months/in 6 months" or "The week before your birthday/Beginning of July/When you get your vacation approved from your boss" also valid? I would personally find it weird if it was a specific date since it depends on vacations, work, places avaliable and if I have something else I want to do on that date :D

The moment he "chuckled" showing he thinks risking her getting pregnant is FUNNY, and abusing her body is funny, SHE SHOULD HAVE PUNCHED HIS FACE. Seriously, this is so fucking disturbing. I understand she is crying. Hookups = Men don't give a SHIT about your boundaries if they don't feel like it.

Oooooh yes, got trapped in this crap several years ago. Had two meet cute's in my 20's. One where we bumped into each other trying to take over from sudden pouring rain outside, looked up and it was instant attraction. On the 5th date he dropped some sick comments about dreaming about suicide and I was out. The second one was when I hiked up early to the top of a mountain in Italy, and the spot I wanted to sit on was already taken by a beautiful man that had the same idea, and we sat there alone…

Grew up and lived in Sweden until 27, then living in Germany now since 4 years. I can confirm! In Sweden there are sooo many girls that chase guys (I unfortunately used to be one of them in my early 20s) and even worse, it's very common for women to propose to men and god forbid you would tell him not to and you get angry looks because "men and women are equal!!!!" I find it ok if its about some of my "flaws". Like "why are your hands so sweaty right now?" and I'm like "they're always sweaty! :/" and I get "aww that's adorable! :)" and then it's just never mentioned again. Then I feel like this person accepts all of me, instead of acting grossed out. But I wouldn't find it ok if I'm talking about asking for a promotion at work or saying that I lifted 100kg at the gym today. Then it's negging.

Great list! I'm adding not getting pregnant/having a baby before being legally married. It's a baby, not a Pokemon. I'm not going to be part of a man using me as a babymachine together with 2-3 other women somewhere until he finds his dreamgirl, marries her and says "No baby, If you don't want kids that's fine, I already have 4 with my ex girlfriends, we can just go travel the world and sleep in on sundays"

Oh god, one of my acquaintances has this for her live-in boyfriend. When I explain to her that she's a mommy-girl/forever-girlfriend she just laughs even though he constant6hopes that he will propose (after 4 years, spoiler: he wont) She does all the cleaning, all the laundry and all the cooking and the way he talks to her is abusive - he get a mad at her for everything wrong happening in her life, instead of supporting her. My former roommate did this all the time and also to get now husband. Her makeup routine was over an hour and she woke up at 4 am to start. I've done this once to my boyfriend on our 7th or 10th date. He came to pick me up and I had intentionally not prepared and instead been working my ass of until the last minute and he got to see me with sweat pants, hair in a messy bun, no showering and no makeup and he didn't act any different - still happy to see me. This is ridiculous... he treats you like you mean nothing to him after a year and acts all dramatic about a person that he hasn't been involved with for over a year already. If he cared about you at all he wouldn't let you go through it like this. He was most likely thinking of ending the relationship either way and uses this as an excuse to leave but still get sex later as he keeps you in the back burner. Very interesting way I've never thought about seeing these messages. But so fucking right. They are entitled through biology. No way a woman would approach a man asking for a cuddle date with a stranger in his bed on the first time they meet unless she would be fine with getting murdered at worst and put in a plastic bag. New answer for cuddle dates: Sure, but I like to cuddle with knives and cyanide.

You just answered your own question. You're being friendly. And unfortunately since LVM are never friendly to women unless they want to fuck them, their brains think "Og, this women is being friendly to me! She wouldn't be unless I had a chance to get in her pants! Finally it's mutual!" Men assume friendliness means flirting coming from a woman.

From my experience if a man acts like I don't exist between dates, he doesn't exist anymore for me - because they always turn out to be LVM when they don't 1. Text/call within 24h after the first date and 2. doesn't try to keep the momentum in-between the dates at least a little in the beginning. Hard pass. Do not reach out, if the second date isn't VERY specific (time, place, other details etc) I would not count it as an actual plan.

I think the amount of dates, as you stated (assumed that each lasts 2h - 12h) is s better measurement but as said they should be within a reasonable timespan (Not all in 1 month or only 12 in 12 months). As another example from my current relationship and the previous in my 20s, it took me between 17-27 dates to feel completely sure when they asked/We had the conversation that I knew this person well enough to take myself off the market.

If the pace of it is this low (3 dates in 1 month) that means by the time you reach 2 months you might have only spent 6 dates with him. You're ahead of yourself sis, the question isn't if the topic of commitment should be brought up after 2 months. The question you should ask yourself is; Is 6 dates really enough for me to be sure that this man is worth to commit to? Since its less than a full week. Not saying you should start seeing him 3-5/week. But don't set a stone cold deadline of 2 months…

I admire a set of beautiful nails, but have never gone to get my nails done. I just find it too expensive, when I came invest it in my future and being financially stable. Here in Germany: Nails 1x/month: 40 Hair 1x/month: 30 Hair removal 1x/month: 50 Facial/Makeup products 1x/month: 70-100 In 1 year this is 3,480-3,500. 2,5 words: "We're done." Then go on with your day... 6 years of barley seeing each other or having actual fulfilling conversations doesn't sounds like a relationship at all. In my opinion LDR aren't real relationships. So stop watering a fake plant. Side note: Made me giggle when reading "He likes animals, future faking... If I read the list and take away the word "Extremely" (since it makes me imagen a man that doesn't have a life of his own and does every thing literally to the extreme), it sounds like a normal healthy list of a partner. Everyone with me? Ok. 1...2...3 🎤 🎼Reeeeeeeeeeeead the handbooook 🎵🎶 What you have overlooked: 1. We don't ask where things are going early. We keep seeing other men until they ask us to be exclusive. We don't have sex before this said exclusivity or this early in the dating process. Believing anything a man says this early after you ask. Taking things slow but having sex is an oxymoron.

This is soooo true. Before I even realised that my ex was abusive, I had a strong sense that if I would be on life support he would pull the plug right away to save money, and that if I ever got into an accident he wouldn't drop whatever he was doing to come to the hospital. If you imagen these scenarios and you see in front of you that the man your dating would just shrugg his shoulders. It's not just a fear or fantasy. It's your instinct telling you what your subconscious has already picked up…

Very late to the party I know, but what does WAP stand for? I think it would make sense to have a small dictionary in the handbook with all these "shortenings" (Sorry not native english) for newbies, newcomers and non Americans. (LVM/HVM/BM/WAP/OLD/POS etc).

The reason men want to get off the dating app and continue the texting on WhatsApp is because they are worried about you constantly seeing all your other matches and messages from other men on there and think that you will be less reminded of other options if you don't text them there. In case there would be another ban wave and this would be removed. We have our awesome website sure, but I do believe that more sources like this us great. For instance for when I cant read on this subreddit because i need to clean or workout, it would be awesome to have a podcast or YouTube video to listen to at the same time.

For me it's after his 30s. Extreme red flag if he's approaching 40. Went on a date with a guy that was the roommate of a not too close female friend of mine that I know through my sport. I thought he was 27-29 because that's her age and he looked young. But when he told me he was 37 (!!) I was like....duuuude? Seriously you lived in the city for 3-4 with a steady job and you didn't bother finding your own place. Attraction dropped to hell.

Same here, not a native but wtf, I'm sometimes shocked when I see the screenshots here over scrotes in U.S that can't spell if their balls were dependent on it. Yeah, that makes sense, he wants a woman with no options or life of her own, that can't have a career and have to move in with him and he will drive her everywhere and she's probably not even allowed to have a bike to escape his madness on. We've had this rule here in Germany since restaurants opened up in May. We get to choose between writing our email adress or phone number, so in that way you can create a CoronaMeal@ mail for yourself, or write another name. They never check that you write your real name so go ahead and write a name that could easily be both a woman and a man. Like Robin, Kim or ...something foreign that they wouldn't dare to question

It's a special culture of alot of men focusing more on materialistic things and their career to be bothered with grand romanticing women, so many have an attitude of "if the woman is interested, she will let me know, and then I can think about it.../aka expecting the women to chase". This is so fucking cringe! Sure where I've lived in Sweden and Germany it's a big 50/50 culture- but here the man would NEVER ask to use your card to make it look like they are paying. Not my type of proposal (by a pool, classical music, no speech, standing, in front of people) but hey, it clearly works for them, and she doesn't seem ambushed (the million rose pedals probably gave it away) and seems super happy so good for her!! Yes on WhatsApp you have to, but on Telegram you can have a username and that's it. It's not connected to your phone at all so you can also use it on a desktop even if the phone is dead. I've done this repeatedly between relationships - date 3-4 men at the same time with dinners. As OP says it's really good to compare them to each other and basically see who treats you the best at the same time as having the guts to put pressure on the other ones without fearing of loosing any. So far I've never been caught. Survival guide: One. If he asks who you are going to other dinners with, say an ex-coworker. Nobody ever questions this. Agreed with the first two commenters. You don't. It has nothing to do with the new relationship. You did the right thing. It's a gut feeling, but these labels of Boyfriend = automatic respect and love is BS. I was you in my last relationship for a whole year! Me always calling, always putting in effort, never leaving even if he gave me bare minimum and only saw me on his terms. Eye rolling myself here. You did absolutely the right thing. If a man acts like he doesn't care it's because he genuinely doesn't.

I find the Golddigging narrative especially stupid since, if they had actually read the handbook before reviewing this sub, it would take just a couple of seconds to see that we stand for never have to financially depend on a man, to be able to afford anything we want for ourselves and level up sleeping in our university degrees with our fireplace of salary checks. How dare they.

I did the exact same thing last week and all I could think was "pick me pick me pickmeeeeeshaaa". There's an instagram account making fun of LVM (and sometimes LVW) Tinder bio's with translations, sometimes she's making small videos in a FDS style.

Huh? So now this person thinks that feminism is about protecting men's rights? We are also fighting stereotypical gender roles here: aka Cleaning, cooking and washing for a man is not our job. Cleaning, cooking and washing is not a gender role. How are the FDS views in anyway detrimental to equality when most men literally won't lift a finger for making any aspect of a relationship equal if they have the option. These LibFems are just handing them that option on a silver platter next to their ne…

Damn, the fact that she stays with this man after he is engaged to someone else planning on working on herself to become better to him. Shoot me, seriously what the ACTUAL fuck has happened to relationships?! (I'm obviously anti-poly but this is just a whole new level of butthole)

Haha yep, happened exactly like this by two men two months ago - I never replied and never heard from them. And then a third one texted 8 days later asking why I don't seem to text first and what's he is missing. I was so tempted to just answer that he's missing that it's not dating if we never meet up for a date, just said "You didn't seem interested so moved away from this dead interaction". Male brused ego' s I'll tell ya.

Lmao exactly - visual creatures and if you go to any advertising firm (in Europe at least) most tragic designer, visual designers and user interface designers responsible for seeing all details, know what looks clean, good, minimalistic and push pixels are MEN. But they still live like pigs claiming they have worse sight. But at work they get awards lol.

I felt like having a small heart attack when I saw guy number 1 and 3's flat. Once I dated a man for 1 month and he seemed very high value without any red flags, always payed, took my out to fun different dates and restaurants. But then the first time I was to come home to him, he invited me saying he would cook dinner. His place was similar to the the man from Madrid in the article, and he then had the balls to say "Now let's get you to work" about the cooking. I was already half way out the do…

As a woman I totally agree. I never ask for height (because I'm short anyways). So if a guy asked for my weight I would feel the same way as this guy. Like why the fuck. I'm fit and never been overweight, but the fact that she refuses the answer means she's ashamed over it. All women that refuses to tell you how much they weigh, even if you stand in front of them - KNOW - that their weight is bad. No matter this whole "healthyateverysize" BS movement. healthyateveryheight

Learned this the hard way in my last relationship. Whatever I did it was not good enough, not fast enough, not financially enough, not calm enough, not loud enough and cool enough. Damn it was draining, as soon as I came up to the new level of a better self for him (And for me of course) or getting better at something for him he said "well done BUT you should have done this or been faster with that or blabla and then...there I was trying for another 3-6 months reaching for being good enough havi…

I can understand some men being in a 20+ year marriage never having slept with anyone else before fantasizing about opening things up. But asking to open things up "a couple of months in" what the ACTUAL fuck hahaha. Low attention span disorder doesn't even cover it. Mental note: in this situation: laugh at him...keep laughing while walking away. Close the door. Laugh even louder outside.

Yeah if I guy refuses to go down on me, I refuse to ever see him again. I'm all up for sorting on crap by taking my time to get to know a guy and waiting several weeks/months before sleeping with them, but of course some touching should be around, knowing that you can arrouse each other before commitment is very important to me. In general, I cannot stand by the "don't have sex until commitment" because I don't want to put a boyfriend/girlsfriend stamp on somebody that then turns out to: - not b…

Your mom should move to Sweden. There they don't sell alcohol in supermarket, only in a dedicated store only with alcohol.

Yep, several years of dating experience here understanding that only 2 years ago (31F). It's ok to say hi/whatever icebreaker to a guy first but literally pursuing by asking to meet/call/for a number/date/marriage(!?) Is degrading. They subconsciously think you're low value, and will jump quickly to the girl that made them pursue and initiate. Men liking the chase/hunt is biological. If he claims the opposite, he's not that interested. Why I've never used Bumble.
