That’s one thing that always makes me laugh- men who are failing to sexually please a women that have the audacity to ask for ANOTHER more difficult sexual act. Like, maybe I’ll consider giving you a pencil when you stop trying to eat your crayons and stop demanding an expensive ball-point pen.

Any self proclaimed “male feminist” is a predator trying to blend in with their prey. A true male ally would discuss women’s rights with their male friends who need to be educated, not with women who already fucking know that we deserve to be equal. It’s condescending and an immediate red flag. (Like, do they really think that they’re so smart that they’re going to educate a woman about women? Its bullshit) Basically, if a man is trying to tell you about how much he supports women, then run in t…

Some men are so obsessed with women that they can’t fathom that most women do not sit on the bus wishing a random strange man would approach them. If anything, I spend all my mental energy in public spaces praying no one talks to me.

I met my fiancé on Tinder. I think it worked because we lived in a densely populated city (so there were a lot of options), I knew what I wanted and made that clear, and we attended the same university (we had similar lifestyles and values and whatnot) but just ran in different circles. Without Tinder we probably would’ve just never met, so I am thankful for that because we’re perfect for each other. We’re the ones who made it work, but tinder is what brought us together in the first place. Gran…

When I growing up, HVM father told me that the most effective thing you could do to distance yourself from a disrespectful/toxic person is ignore/grey rock them. Just don’t give them any of your time or attention. Don’t talk to them, don’t talk about them, just pretend they never existed. It gets the point across, it doesn’t create gossip or drama, and it frees you from that person. It’s the best way to protect yourself from misogynistic men. When a man shows you who he really is, then cool, now…

It’s insane how men don’t realize that most of them seem much more attractive before they open their mouths and ruin it. This dude’s face is perfectly fine, but when you see his caption, suddenly he is wildly unattractive and his face now represents his vitriolic and aggressive mindset. I literally cannot iterate how many times I swiped right on a guy on tinder, only to immediately unmatch them because their first message was rude, mean, aggressive, etc. Men’s faces are not the problem a majorit…

None of my male friends in the past ever agreed to walk me home at night. They never offered, and when I asked, they bitched and moaned and at MOST would walk me halfway (which happened like 10% of the time). I get being tired at the end of the night, but I was just trying to avoid being raped and murdered. It sucks but the average man just won’t have your back like a woman would

Kim is still a human being who deserves dignity, respect, and safety. The only reason people downplay Kanye’s concerning behavior and overplay Kim’s sexual history is misogyny, plain and simple. It’s truly shocking how even million upon millions of dollars STILL isn’t enough to keep women safe from abusive partners and exes.

I agree about the authenticity of tinder. When it first started, it was a great way to meet people who were in your vicinity that you otherwise wouldn’t necessarily speak to. It was simple because you could usually assume that a match meant they were single, attracted to you, and interested. You could quickly weed out dullards or assholes via messaging. It was a fun way to meet people (especially in college) and it did feel more wholesome, in a weird way. I feel like I managed to find a good guy…

I can completely understand that. One of the perks for me was that I could make quick lunch dates with guys within days of matching, so it was easier to find out that we don’t click in person/ they have tons of red flags you couldn’t see online. Then I could just move on to the next candidate. I can’t imagine how rough the pandemic has been for dating, so my advice could be out dated

Ted Bundy often used a ruse to trap women- he’d pretend to be injured and act like he needed help moving a piece of furniture or unloading a car or something. I think a lot of women instinctually felt like something was off about him, but their societal conditioning stepped in and said “oh but he’s injured, he needs help, I’m supposed to help people, he’s not bad looking, he’s well-groomed, I’m being selfish, it’ll only take a second, of course I’ll help him,” and they ignored their gut instinct…

I mean a very high percentage of men out there have the potential and the inclination to be dangerous. There’s a good chance you’re surrounded by LVM/NVM. The goal is to find a man who doesn’t give you the ick. Also, just because they’re family doesn’t mean they’re good people or high value men. I agree! I actually liked that aspect of online dating. My strategy was: (1) if he has a face you wouldn’t want to sit on, swipe left. (2) if he’s attractive, read his bio; if it has anything weird in it, swipe left. (3) if his bio is fine, strike up a conversation. If he says anything weird, creepy, mean, unfunny, etc, then unmatch him. (4) if he’s attractive, has a decent bio, and you guys have nice conversations and good chemistry, then set up a date to meet. Well, if he doesn’t go out of his way to talk to you, do you think he’s interested? One of the hardest things I had to accept in dating is that men are either interested or not, and you can’t make an uninterested man interested. It sucks, but I promise your time is better spent finding someone better. You deserve to be with a man who enjoys spending time with you, goes out of his way to talk to you, and has no problem asking you on a proper date. If he doesn’t seem interested, then you should qu…

Great post! If I may add, we should never date men who we wouldn’t want to have as exes. Ask yourself, is this the type of man who would still respect me if we broke up?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/22 07:25 PM

Ask him questions about himself and see how he responds. Take note of how he talks about and treats other people, especially women. Find out his political views, career aspirations, goals in life, etc and see if they align with your values. Maybe make a silly, light joke at his expense and see if he laughs at himself or gets angry and defensive. Basically, talk to him and observe him. You can find out a lot about a man in just one conversation.

It’s fine to be attracted to a guy, you just gave to remember your dealbreakers, boundaries, and to stay on the look out for red flags. I’ve definitely gone out with guys who are physically attractive, but they become unattractive once they say something disrespectful, cross a defined boundary, or start waving red flags. Being attracted to a guy is necessary for a relationship to work, but it’s not the only necessity. Make sure you’re taking note of his speech, behavior, demeanor, etc.

People who have nothing to hide, hide nothing. If he’s being avoidant on political issues, it’s because he knows his views would offend you. Conservative men are dumb enough to vote for racist and sexist fascists, but they’re smart enough to know it’s a bad look. Ask him about politics; he either has empathy for other humans, or he sucks. Men always have an opinion on everything, so I don’t believe for a second that any of them are truly “apolitical.”

I love how it’s always the women who should sacrifice themselves and their sex lives for the sake of ugly men, when those same men would NEVER even consider dating a woman they aren’t attracted to. It’s bullshit and two-way physical attraction is an absolutely essential part of any strong relationship

Ignorant men can’t grasp the idea that rape doesn’t occur in a vacuum (nothing does). It is representative of a larger issue with society. Obviously we need rapists to take accountability, but you don’t have to be a rapist to uphold and benefit from rape culture. Simply not raping us isn’t enough- they have to go out and stop other men who think it’s okay to treat us like objects who exist to fulfill their sexual perversions. I’m tired of men thinking that doing nothing is the solution.

I agree. I am so done with being expected to praise men for doing the absolute bare minimum, like thinking women are human beings or washing their asses. You’ll get praise when you do something praise-worthy and nothing less!

Not just ruin your life, but END your life. The wrong man could quite literally, no exaggeration, murder you if he’s having a “bad day.” All of us ladies are valuable and worth protecting! You’re not being “too picky,” you’re keeping your standards high enough to ensure that any life ruining men don’t get through. We are literally just protecting ourselves out here

First of all, I love this woman and want to be her friend. Second of all, as a bisexual woman, I can confirm that going down on a man is much more difficult than going down on a woman. I’ve done both and they aren’t even comparable in terms of physical exhaustion. So when a man expects oral but won’t give it, he 100% ain’t shit and ain’t worth your time.

If men treated women the way we treat them, then I could blissfully go about my life while men keep their opinions to their selves. Men hate when women ignore or laugh at them, women hate when men rape and murder us.

I think men with PIED think the ultimate treatment is for a woman to fix them. It’s a lot easier to believe that instead of confronting the root issue: porn. Why bother self reflecting when you can just get a girlfriend to fix it for you?

This reminds me of something I used to experience in college. If me and my friend where hanging out with a group of men and they all started talking about something we didn’t care about, we’d just quietly start our own conversation off to the side. Without fail, every single time, the other guys would get so mad and demand we tell them what we’re talking about and include them! It makes my blood boil! Especially because when a man is raped, those same dudes crying “but what about male victims?!?!” will be saying “lol he prob liked it I wish she’d rape me!” They have no desire to actually address the serious issues that make victims face, they just want to derail the discussion
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/22 07:03 PM

It’s insulting because they really think we’re too stupid to see through that bullshit. Obviously they’re here to “impress” us, not stand with us. When will they understand that it’s not about them??
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/22 07:00 PM

It’s because they see feminism as something performative they do to score extra points with women, instead of a call for action to fight against the injustices men subject women to daily. It’s a lot easier to try and get rewarded for doing the bare minimum (aka thinking women deserve rights) instead of seeming “lame” for correcting the toxic men in their lives. I want men to stop talking the talk and start walking the walk. Talk is cheap and we don’t want it.

I agree! The way men feel about me and my thoughts is not my problem. If a man doesn’t like what I have to say about what it’s like being a woman, then he can go kick rocks and touch cow dung instead of bothering me. Men genuinely believe that women vocalizing their standards is just as, if not more, oppressive as thousands of years of female subjugation, commodification, patriarchy, and rape culture. It’s like, actually no, your feelings are no where near as important as our safety
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/22 06:42 PM
31

Exactly! No man is going to tell women something we don’t know about the female experience. Any man thinking they have anything of value to contribute in a women’s space is wildly arrogant and obnoxious. We need men to call out other men in spaces where men tend to feel safe using abusive language and perpetuating harmful stereotypes. A true male ally to women will focus on educating other men and making the rest of the world less habitable to misogynists.

Men will even do the mental gymnastics to convince themselves that it’s okay to go to lesbian bars, a place where they couldn’t be less welcome. I’m sorry men ruined that Krav Maga group for you. It’s especially infuriating because male only spaces like the priesthood led to men controlling the religious and political narratives. Thank you for putting this feeling into words. Women have to police their own existence when men are present because there’s no telling when one of them might just decided to react violently. I’m a funny person and a lot of my jokes regarding men are hilarious, but I’d never dream of telling those jokes at an open mic because men dominate the standup comedy scene and I wouldn’t feel safe clowning on a group of them to their faces. Why do these men all just want unconditional love and support and labor from others while giving nothing in return? ETA: My friends are ride or die for me because I’m ride or die for them. If one of us stumbles, the others lift her back up. Support like that doesn’t just happen because we’re women; it happens …

Fun fact- I got banned from a sub for commenting that the titanic survivors being primarily women and children is a unique situation and only occurred because the captain held a gun on all the men. In every other sinking ship, the men trample the women and children and toss them out of life boats to save themselves. I have the same gripe with “male feminists” who go to women-oriented spaces to tell US how women should be respected. And it’s like, yeah, no fucking shit, WE know that! We’re the ones who brought it up in the first place! Go find your shitty friends who abuse women and call them out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/12/21 06:00 PM

Exactly! Most men want to “protect women” in unlikely, hypothetical scenarios, like a masked assailant popping out of the bushes that they get to beat the shit out of. These same men, however, think it’s simp-y to be there day-to-day and protect their woman by driving them places and keeping an eye out overall. That kind of consistent protecting is boring and harder than just being violent on one occasion

I think it’s a maladaptive defense mechanism and a way to convince themselves that they aren’t being abused. Honestly what helps me out the most is the fact that I’m pretty funny. I’ve spent my whole life roasting men and it’s been great practice; I’ve gotten super good at it. When I make a biting, astute observation about the audacity of men and the need for women to have higher standards that’s ALSO hilarious, then women are more receptive to the gospel and men have a harder time dominating me in conversation.

If I was in your situation, I would just not seek medical attention, and I’m sure many women would do the same. It’s tragic that the egos and entitlement of some men could threaten the well being of women. Male gynecologists are more focused on the fact that they want to be in that field, and ignore the fact that most women do NOT want them there. I’m sure many have good intentions, but it’s pretty stupid of them to think we’re better off for it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/10/21 04:55 PM

I’m not surprised in the slightest. I think most women get into therapy to help people; I think a lot of men do it because they think they’re so smart that they can mansplain everyone and anyone’s problems away.

No man is automatically high value, especially not the insanely successful and famous ones. Honestly stanning any man is just too risky. I only stan my IRL gal pals and Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Famous people fucking their fans is so wildly problematic. The power differential is so wide that there’s no way to guarantee complete, 100% enthusiastic consent. It’s just gross and in my opinion is super low value.

Oh dear lord. I’m sorry you had to deal with that obnoxious scrote. One time I saw a guy on tinder and his first pic was holding one a sign that said “I’m a feminist because no one deserves to be raped.” I almost broke my thumb swiping left on him.

Ugh this is one of my biggest pet peeves. I went to a women’s club in college and of course the entire meeting was taken over by the two male assholes who couldn’t stfu about how supportive they are. That was my first and last meeting Edit: Holy shit I forgot the best part! One of them was RUNNING FOR AN OFFICER POSITION!!! Of a women’s club that focused on women not being represented in positions of power! The audacity

I completely agree. Instead of improving in other aspects of their lives, scrotes think they can just say “I’m a feminist” and suddenly we’ll be falling at their feet. Do they not realize that thinking women should have equal rights is the BARE MINIMUM requirement for most women??

Exactly! If they truly cared about women, they’d get the fuck out of our way. We aren’t the ones who need educating. Remember lurkers, a man who is a true ally to women call out their male friends’ shitty behavior. If you don’t call out toxic masculinity and misogyny when you see it, you are just as complicit in oppressing us.

DISCLAIMER: the author of this comic Stone Toss is a Nazi piece of shit and I do not stand by him at all! However, I still think he hit the nail on the head with this one comic, even if his intentions were to shame liberal men instead of warning women. Edit: Mods, can you pin this comment to the top?

Yeah the whole “male feminist” schickt def became more popular after the 2016 election. Male lurkers- if you wanna be a true feminist ally, then mansplain feminism to your sexist guy friends and family members. There is exactly a 0% chance that your opinion will enlighten any woman on the female experience. Just shut up and listen for once!

I’ve been saying this for years. When a man calls himself a feminist (instead of simply being an ally to women) he is (1) making it all about him and (2) pushing his own shitty narrative of what he wants “empowered women” to look and act like

I’m ND and it’s frustrating that boys were “allowed” to be rude and obnoxious, but I just HAD to “act like a lady.” If anything, this extra pressure to perform appropriately in public delayed my diagnosis by years because I was too “smart” and “well-behaved” to have ADHD. This of course ignored the extreme stress and inner turmoil I felt for years while putting on a polite, brave face. I think low value men know this and that’s why they’re obsessed with convincing us that we should just settle for one of them instead of thriving in every aspect of our lives
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 06:28 PM
55

Nothing can change the past, but we control our present and our future. If you learn from a bad experience, then you’re paying tuition in the school of life. If you don’t learn, you just had a bad experience. Don’t get too bogged down by regret. It was a learning experience and you’re wiser and stronger as a result <3
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 06:25 PM
36

I agree. It’s better to be alone than with a LVM. It was only after I became fully content with myself and my life that I found the right guy. It was never my main priority, but I’m very happy that he enriches my life.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 06:17 PM
36

When we ignore a red flag, we also increase that man’s confidence to mistreat us. A lot of LVM will “test” a woman by being a little shitty and seeing if she puts up with it. I may have been a straight A student, but that’s one test I’m happy to fail!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 06:14 PM

We’re conditioned to accept less than we deserve. We’re conditioned to believe that we need a man (any man) to be complete. There’s no shame in falling into that trap, as long as you know better now. I personally already have my HVM; I just like sharing my dating strategies I used to weed out the rest and find him. This is female DATING strategy, so I believe the goal (according to a mod, IIRC) is to find your HVM. However, that should never be your life’s mission or even your priority. I’ve always put education and work above dating, and I’ve also found that when you are happy with your life, you tend to attract more high value people. Dating can be grueling and it’s more than okay to take …
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 05:59 PM

Being high value means surrounding yourself with high value people. Despite what we are conditioned to believe, we don’t owe anybody anything. My life improved 100-fold after I stopped giving my friendship to people who weren’t interested in returning the favor

People in relationships are supposed to take care of each other and dote on each other. I’m a kind and sensitive person. Why on earth would i want an emotionally-constipated toxic-masculinity-fueled man-child who can’t care for himself let alone another living thing? Emotional intelligence is an invaluable skill that society tells men they shouldn’t bother developing because that’s “for girls.” There’s nothing sexier than a man who is warm, empathetic, in touch with his feelings, not afraid to e…

Brunch is delicious! But I also think a late lunch/ easily dinner on a weekday can be good. No secondary locations, no alcohol, and the sun is still out. Just focus on talking and vetting for an hour or two. And if that first date goes well, go to a nice restaurant at night that Friday or Saturday for a longer date. That’s what I did with my HVM and it worked really well; it was a new strategy that I would’ve def kept using if things hadn’t worked out.

You’re looking for your life partner- it’s okay to move on if you’re not completely satisfied in any way. It helped me to more quickly move on when I realized that every minute I spend with a LVM who I know isn’t right for me, is another minute I’m not spending finding my HVM. A relationship with a true HVM will make your life better, easier, and more enriched. You deserve that. What you have now is not that. Also, violating sexual boundaries is a drop-dead dealbreaker. Love is respect and trust; by doing that, he disrespected you and now you (rightfully) cannot trust him. There’s nothing he can do to fix that. My HVM wouldn’t in a million years even consider trying anything sexually that we haven’t discussed at length and mutually agreed upon. If I say something is o…

I mean logistically speaking it would take weeks to organize a 2 female threesome whereas you could probably plan and execute a 2 male threesome that day.
