Ridiculous. Sure, D/s is in a lot of porn but 1) not all D/s is maledom/femsub and 2) there is plenty of non-D/s porn out there.

The idea that porn is all about the male domination of the feminine is ridiculous. There's also plenty of porn out there which is made by and for women.

I think this says more about the speaker than the subject. At no point have I had any violent fantasies nor felt any desire to check out more dominant/submission styles of porn. Maybe the speaker should seek some therapy.

I'll explain quickly why porn is very very good. Male sexuality, is probably one of the most repressed things in our culture. Homophobia still exists. We've also finally overcome the insistence (often by women) that we breed within our own race. Porn has allowed men to explore their sexuality. Discover the fluidity of it.

The good news is that there is also a fatigue effect. Most men tire of explicit porn and partner variation over time, at which point, I believe men nearly stop coveting other women (or men) and reconnect with true intimacy.

Some of this is based on conjecture and personal experience but it kinda just makes sense. I'm sure that for smaller portions of the population we end up with sexual deviancy, and I'm talking the really abusive nasty stuff, but porn is fantasy and for the overwhelming majority of that small population, that will be understood.

Only bad thing I ever saw in porn is how many men become prone to having sexual issues regarding their penis size.

I believe most porn to be the male equivalent of the fashion magazine cover with the hot, thin model. It can make us feel awkward in our own bodies.

It's not mere coincidence that porn sites are completely surrounded by penis enlargement ads.

Which is of course why the sexual assault continues to decline as porn access becomes more widely available, despite an ever increasing definition for said crimes.

It could be that porn is a healthy, non-violent outlet for sexual frustration/loneliness.

Just because feminism is anti-porn doesn't mean we have to destroy any criticism directed towards it. Internet porn is something that's relatively new, most boys start watching at a young age (11 12yo) and have seen hundreds (if not thousands) of porn videos before they start having sex. I'm not saying everything in the video is true, in fact we know little about the long term effects of internet porn. What I do know is that there will be consequences and we should have a more open discussion about it in r/MensRights without saying without any thought: "porn is the best thing ever and will never hurt anyone".

Just because he said some questionable things doesn't mean all his other points are invalid as well, that's how feminists often argue.
