I love that people have yet to point out that there was never a Roman Empire in the Medieval Period. Unless you count the Holy Roman Empire, which was decidedly more German than Roman.

I guess it really shows you that people see anything beyond one hundred years ago as "the before-times" and summarily lump it all together or something.

The battle of Thermopylae being fought in full-plate armor with Roman legionaries against all The Khans at once. With sabretooth mounts. And Napoleon's leading the Roman charge.
