Getting in the military isn't an award unless you are an officer and earned your degree. Enlisting involves volunteering and both parties meeting set conditions. I keep getting the feeling you don't know what you are talking about and just make things up to bolster your argument.

This is what you need to do to get in the military: Qualify to enlist (the easy part). Must be a high school grad/GED/ok health... Then you have to survive basic training. This isn't that hard unless you are talking USMC. Here you will become physically fit but must also prove you are willing to put up with lots of bullshit and distress. People that aren't going to cut it in the military often ask to go home or threaten to kill themselves, regardless of sex. Then you have to go to school and prove you can do your job at the end. So, if you are a female medic for example, you will have to drag a litter across the ground while low crawling and also be able to carry a casualty over a wall. Do you think they let women pass if they can't do this? Hell no. They send those women to truck driving school.

And here is something else you probably didn't know. Sometimes people are no longer able to do their work and meet physical requirements for their occupation. It's called getting chaptered out for medical reasons. It happens to men and women. Heck, I've seen one woman chapter out another woman for not being able to "pass the REAL qualifying standards."

The women in my unit went to war. Some were operating in combat zones. As many other women were. Do you still think they didn't meet these real qualifying standards you seem to know so much about?

And tests aside, women take up arms and go into combat all the time. Think about other armies across the world. You will find numerous teenage volunteers that are seasoned veterans in the rebel armies in Burma.

So now your beef is with women, but not woman? Even though you think they all do the same things?

What is this supposed to be a response to? I would assume it is a response to

Unless you were in nursing or cooking I don't think any part of the military is 1/3 female. And the thing is, they didn't get in on their own merit, if you were to tell them tomorrow "pass the REAL qualifying standards or get the fuck out." I'd be willing to bet on them all leaving.

They lower the physical standards for the end bit, yes they technically do "pass", but they only pass the female requirements, a male who performed equally would be told to get lost.

I highly doubt they were used in combat. How far away from the fighting can you be while still counting it as a "combat zone"?

And yes, I am still quite sure that they didn't pass the "real" standards which men are held up to.

You would undoubtedly find a few, but tell me, how many of them stack up against a US Marine, or even regular army, or lets drop the bar even lower and compare them to the full grown men in the same rebel army. You seem to think that being vicious makes you a good soldier, this is how I know you were never a soldier.

My beef is with stupid people who think they earned their way in the military when they did not, and the evil people who support those stupid people getting in the military. If a woman managed to pass the REAL standards, then I wouldn't care to much, but other people would bitch and moan if the watered down female tests were done away with.

Do you think you might be wrong about some of your assumptions? You don't have to believe me, because this is the internet and I could be lying for all you know. But do you think you ever make false assumptions?

I gotta skip ahead to someone getting kicked out. She was my squad leader. Complained of foot problems and wouldn't wear boots. Had a physical profile stating she could not lift heavy objects over 20 lbs (her occupation was in signal/communications). One officer that never cared for her took notice and had her on the way out in less than a day.

Now being in combat: I think you don't understand what can put you in hostile fire. Women are not placed in combat occupations, such as the infantry. But women can hold a various occupations that will essentially lead to being in combat. One example is a female medic being in an infantry unit. There are also non-combat units that can be very risky. Being a truck driver or moving in a convoy is very dangerous. Those folks get shot at and have to worry about improvised explosives. If women don't go into combat zones, then how did Shoshana Johnson and Jessica Lynch get captured?

I also think you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to military standards. You are right when it comes to physical training having different standards for women. But the military also includes different standards for age. What they are looking for is muscular endurance relative to your body's capacity. Now when it comes to occupational standards, they go across the board unless women are not allowed in that particular occupation.

And you know what else you are wrong about? That part were you said I am vicious and was never a soldier. I became a hippy and started protesting war once I came home.
