The CDC is a good, verifiable source; getting the study from their website isn't any different from having them send you a hardcopy.

Important point: .com is no more or less credible then .org, .info, .net or any other GTLD that you can buy without a lick of quality control.

No seriously, tell those retards that I could go register DoctorStoyd.info and paste any drivel I want, or perhaps I could try to get my hands on EqualityForAll.org The only thing stopping me is whether I'm willing the pay the 10$/year or so for DNSs to resolve.

Very few GTLDs are actually controlled in a meaningful way. .mil .gov and .edu are, but are USA only. .int is really hard to get into, but who uses it other than NATO and the YMCA?

Tell them if they think that the domain name systems actually enforce any standards, they're kidding themself. I registered a .ca address without proving anything and I can have it resolve to an IP for any machine in the world no question asked. Doesn't mean shit.
