From Shakespeare to the Greek Tragedies, a father's concern for his lineage and children colors all of human history, theater, and every struggle throughout every time. It has almost always been considered the worst thing possible to a happen to a man - to have his line end permanently, or to have his children die.

And yet we live in a society that systematically rips that bond apart. We live in a society that almost gleefully tears children from their fathers and puts the father in child support slavery, sometimes even imprisoning him. 40% of all children being born to single mothers... and 50% divorce rates, with 66% custody for the mothers.

That's an awfully huge amount of men with their children taken away from them.

Looking at history versus the last few decades, I think it's obvious we live in a pseudo-dystopian society right now. That actually gives me heart, because it can't last. These corrupt and broken systems implode after awhile, right?
