i heard this argument once a twice. i suggested we follow this argument to it's logical conclusion and lock women up in the kitchen without human rights. then we can work on women having rights once starvation in africa has been solved.

Equal pay thing is bullshit, the UK government statistics (that you can Google) prove it:

36% of the 10% median pay gap cannot be explained, which amounts to only 3%. They are saying it's due to discrimination, but it could be anything.

Women also have better than equal rights under law, they can for example take maternity leave which is none transferable if a couple wishes the father to stay and take care of the child (although they are working on changing that). They are also less likely to be sent to prison even if they commit the same crime as a man.

Honestly, i'm not even surprised. There are extremes on both sides, you've just got to get past that and reason with those willing to listen.

as soon as women have equal pay and rights and don't have the same gender double standards then and only then should domestic abuse against men be recognised

It shows that when feminists argue that men are already treated equally that it is often an insincere argument and that they know very well men are treated worse and heartily approve.

I consider it a small victory whenever you can get one of them to brag about their prejudices like that because they don't realise how fucked up it makes them look (or rather they do realise it usually which is why they lie, but if you catch them the right way they forget to pretend to be fair minded).

There is no wage gap. They're just replying as women (manginas, white knights) always do, with shaming and misandry.

Domestic violence against men is just as frequent and bad as it is against women only it gets ignored/laughed at. Your instincts are solid.

Women already surpass men in wages if you take into account the only reason jobs exist ... to make the employer money... profit. They dont take that into account. The facts that men cost less to employ, work harder, work longer, are more productive, and for more years of their lives. Men also take exponentially less from society and give much more to it. Women also dont take those high pay highly dangerous jobs either. The pay gaps takes none of that into account. Its strickly full time woman versus full time mans averages.
