In other words, on Lifetime as on CNN, FOX, CBS etc.

Really? I coulda sworn "those other teenage girls" were the exception to the "Women are never evil" Lifetime clause.

it’s impossible for Lifetime to depict a woman who is not a victim

Alternatively, it's impossible for the author to see a female character going through any hardship without painting her as a victim. This imputation of female victimhood onto every single Lifetime character is really telling.
