I submitted this AMA Request: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/10ispf/ama_request_university_of_windsor_dean_of_law/ based on this item from COTWA: http://www.cotwa.info/2012/09/appalling-to-extremists-on-left-some.html

The AMA Request reads:

University of Windsor Dean of Law Camille Cameron has recently changed the policy at the student run Community Legal Aid (CLA) so that it will no longer represent men accused of domestic violence.

CLA provides students out of classroom experence and often offers help to people in criminal matters that cannot otherwise afford legal representation.

Dean Cameron has said, “I’d be more than happy to meet with anyone who wants to discuss this."

I would ask

  1. How has the policy at Community Legal Aid actually changed?
  2. Can you explain why you felt the policy needed changing?
  3. Can you describe why you believe the new policy is ethical?
  4. Is the new policy sexist?
  5. What does it do for your students to sponsor a policy privileges one gender over another in legal matters?
  6. What does this new policy do for their out of classroom experience?
  7. Do you think this new policy suggests to students that men cannot be victims of domestic violence?

I've never submitted an AMA Request, I don't know if this falls under the usual guidelines, I suspect it might not, but it might be nice if it did.
