What's this doing in Mensright?

She is being charged with three felony counts. She's still in jail. and won't get out unless she can fork over $500,000. Where's the injustice? Is it the reason she's giving? Depressed people need help. Who are we to judge what she felt?

We should maybe stop attacking women and concentrate on the injustice in the system towards men. Otherwise we just sound as bad as man attacking feminists. I'm seeing a lot of stories like this here recently, I mean, what's the complaint here? 'Hey that's not fair, I'm a man and I'm not allowed to neglect / kill my offspring, what's up with that?'

The comments are what get me. Talking about how sad they are and that the mother must have been suffering from depression. I'm sorry, I've suffered on and off with depression for years and I never got to the point that I said "fuck it, the kid can just sleep in his/her own fecal matter for a while."

How about we say what really happened. She's a fucking crazy person who decided she didn't give a shit about her own kids anymore. She says she didn't have any help, well did she ask? Army bases have resources for wives while their husbands are deployed. There is no excuse for anything like this to ever happen.

This makes me sad not only as a mother but as a military wife,my hubby has deployed more times than I can remember,sometimes It is hard and you get a little stressed that is when you take five and breath,what I want to know is where is the husbands unit/squadron in this situation?? They are supposed to call every few weeks to check that you are ok and if you need anything,there is even give parents a break nights when the day care center will watch your kids for free one weekend each month for a few hours,there really is no excuse!! Feel so Sad about the little one that died mainly because it could have easily been prevented if she just use the resources available to her,.....RIP little one

at least one comment got it right, sure depression was bad, i really wish she had used her resources and things were handled better.

What is this doing in MensRights? Honestly this show more of how the military's support system is garbage. Does this excuse any of the events that happened? no, of course not. As many of you put, regardless of circumstance this is unexcusable. However maybe if there were support systems that actually worked things like this could be avoided. I love how the military preaches all this bullshit about safety and avoiding accidents and when it really comes down to it they couldn't give one flying fuck. After my deployment to Iraq I was very angry and was having trouble sleeping. It has slowly been destroying my relationship with my girlfriend. I went to VA 4 times now asking what needs to happen for me to see a counselor so I can work this shit out. Everytime I was turned away and told they would call me. 8 months later here I am and they never contacted me once. The red cross also never helped after I pursued them. It was the vietnam veterans association that finally helped me out. My problems are nothing compared to what problems some of my unit members went through. Also the family readiness blah blah bullshit whatever. I jumped through fire hoops of paperwork to get that set up, none of my family ever heard a fucking word from those people, EVER. Rant over.

tl;dr: This doesn't belong here, military support is bullshit, they don't give a fuck.
