Somebody that compliments your personality.

Getting past the generic, worldly requirements, what you need to look for is somebody that understands the male imperative. A girl like this understands that ‘boys will be boys’, doing her best to supplement your life while you enrich hers.

What you need to completely avoid is anything compromising that — including thots, brazen feminists and broken-home females.

There's obvious general things that you will see in other comments like:

hot
mentally stable
comes from a stable family with a strong father figure
low n-count and the n-count consists of LTRs not one night stands
Submissive and wants to please you
Pays her own way and treats you as well
etc.

But don't forget that the biggest way partners are compatible are through shared values, not because you guys like the same music or movies. Make sure that the woman you LTR ascribes to the things you value.

Look for a woman who positively contributes to your life and doesn't put a damper on things by arguing and being a nag.

I'd say she's someone you enjoy most of the time, someone you can handle at most times and who's constantly keeping you on your toes as much as you keep her on her knees.

Or in short: A compliment to your life over time.

There is no unicorn... but look for lack of social media (not an attention whore), is submissive and open to you, how she reacts to other guys hitting on her, has strong father and family growing up, etc

The other replies here are good, but something to consider is that ideal women are made, not born. So, "willing to constantly self improve" would be number 1, followed by the traits listed in other replies.
