Male genital mutilation is a terrible wrong. Comparing it to ear piercing is ridiculous because (1) ear piercing does not permanently alter the body of a child, since the piercing disappears if no earrings are worn, and (2) male genital mutilation completely and permanently alters the sexuality of the victim, causing life long impairment, dramatically reducing sensitivity. The only comparison to male genital mutilation is female genital mutilation, a barbaric religious ritual that has been righteously eliminated from most of the civilized world.

For a "human rights" activist to promote the practice of butchering the bodies of male infants as a religious right is testament to the degree of depravity and insensitivity towards violence against men in our society.

The Jews have been doing this for hundreds of years, It's understandable they would see this as an attack on their religious rights, I'm not saying circumcision is a good thing, but to expect an entire people to drop the customs they have maintained for so long, is pretty absurd.

Its like saying, leave your wisdom teeth in so they mess your whole chopper up. Or dont take that gall bladder out, it doesnt do anything but kill you. Dont cut your toe nails either. Its ugly, cut it off, forget about religion, make your boy proud and his girlfriend happy, chop chop..

This article was written by a Muslim human rights lawyer, yet the OP claims he's Jewish, and why if not to stir up hatred? Circumcision is a part of the Jewish values system. Sensitivity during sex is not. Parents have a right to pass their values to their children; the state is not, or at least should not, be involved in that process. The state cannot stop people from passing their ideals to their children, and circumcision is such a ritual. It has been practiced for eons, and has not so crippled Jewish men that they cannot produce offspring. Circumcision is not so intolerable and insidious that it must be outlawed.
