It's weird agreeing with all terms of this, but also wanting marriage equality as a gay man, and anticipating marriage in the future as soon as it's legal and I find a suitable partner.

But I think that finding a gay male partner who doesn't have such diseased viewpoints on marriage and partnership will be a lot easier than doing the same for a straight female.

So I think the crux of it is helping more men decide not to stick a ring on crazy. And then it becomes a discussion on what "crazy" means. Refusing a pre-nup should be on the top of that list of meanings. This seems to be what you're hinting at with the "think twice" language; I'd consider it less anti-marriage than anti-making a stupid decision because your stupid culture is making you.

I discuss this with friends all the time. So many of my friends are going into the whole marriage thing(i am near 30). But most guys in their forties I talk to only speak of regret due to getting married. The whole system is just bad. All that needs to happen is for a woman to say she is bored and thats it, done, guys life fucked. The best step forward imho is to convince friends of the dangers of marriage.

There is an online pledge you can take that states that you will not get married until there is equality. It is a binding contract. I signed it some time ago and of course now that I am looking for it I can't find it.
