statutory rape is a strict liability crime. By the law, being raped by a minor is no excuse for the crime of having sex with a minor.

Just as having a valid ID by emitted by the state of Nevada, attesting she is 21 does not save a man from statutory rape charges.

Of course, in the case of a woman, the law will be twisted. After all, one must not discourage victims from reporting.

Yes, strict liability is stupid. But it is the law.

The judge will find Ms Terri Mezzatesta guilty, suspend the sentence, then give her a strong warning, no very strong warning, to stay away from males because they are a bad influence.

Son will grow up treating girlfreinds poorly, but his divorced father, who his mom divorced when he was 1 year old, will be blamed.
