I generally agree with you. However, when I was in Afghanistan we had a female soldier (reservist), in her 50s, who was also the first female firefighter in her town and was reportedly quite good at what she did. She wasn't a 120lb waif, she was tough, and she rode turret gunner on every mission by choice. Barely missed having her head blown off by a shotgun at close range at one point, and she could handle her M240B as well as anybody.

She became the oldest woman ever killed in combat in US history. By an IED that blew apart the whole vehicle, so it wasn't like she did anything wrong, it's just one of those things.

The fact that you think that female firefighter can't do anything because she is a woman is typical sexist rhetoric. There are certainly men out there who are incompetent, but not because they are men, they are simply incompetent.

All I know is that when the TX wildfires happened and were covered in the media here, I never saw a woman firefighter on the TV, but I sure noticed how the media loved to say "men and women" even though there weren't any fucking women risking their lives, just men. It seemed like the local Fox station was better about it, though, I remember there was a ceremony honoring the firefighters and absolutely no women were present, and the journalist actually said MEN, not men and women. The local Fox station tends to be much less misandric than the other big news networks.

You could look at this. I'm not sure there's any actual video female firefighters in action because I don't think that they actually put women "at the front" and all the ones I've seen are just propaganda.
