One of the questions that I struggled with as I swallowed the red pill was that of feminism. I'm in Sweden, one of the most liberal and gender equal countries in the world, and have always been a firm believer that women are people, too. I had a hard time accepting some aspects of the red pill philosophy until I saw the thing in action for myself.
Over time, what happened to me was an acceptance that the core tenets of both red pill and feminism are true; men and women are different creatures with different value systems and biological imperatives - but we're also equal in value, importance and rights.
For example: we should get the same pay for performing the same job despite genders, but we're probably going to want to spend our salary on very different things. Women shouldn't need to be worried about rape on a daily basis, but we should also accept that the dynamics of seduction and romance are often performed against some initial resistance - which is no excuse for forcing yourself on somebody.
Due to the gender roles that are imposed upon us by society, women are conditioned to be hypergamous. I don't think this is part of their biology, but something that they're conditioned to be. Similarly, men are conditioned (by "the patriarchy" or whatever you want to call it) to think that their value is based on how well they can provide for their woman. Media stereotypes reinforce this - man isn't happy until he's found The One.
Once this sort of thinking began to establish itself, it was almost as if a whole new world opened up to me. Many proponents of Red Pill seem to consider the woman to be an object to be valued only by her ability to be a receptacle for you to masturbate in. Many proponents of feminism seem to consider the man to be a worthless being that should be nothing more than a beta provider. By taking the core philosophy from either system and marrying them together, I've been able to find a very comfortable balance. To me; men and women are human beings with equal - but different - thoughts, values and ideals. There is greater variation within the genders than between the genders. However, due to the societal pressure for us to conform to gender roles, men and women have been given a certain set of values and ideals, which Red Pill philosophy outlines and creates a methodology for. It's those evil gender roles that feminism hates so much that make them hypergamous. It's the gender roles that make men seem more attractive when they're not being needy, uncomfortable, pedestal-placing beta providers. It's the gender roles that make women more drawn to 'alpha' types of behavior.
Does anybody out there relate to this thinking or am I barking up the wrong tree?
