Condoms are already free. Go to any clinic in your city and you can get free condoms. Not the same for birth control, as it's a matter of prescription.

I only hope they make this stuff worded gender neutral. One day there will be male birth control and it too should be covered if women's bc is. Imagine the irony there will be that day!

I wonder where all of these goodies are coming from? My insurance get's my wife birth control pills, and I have to make a run to Walmart when I want condoms.

It's only related to females employed under religious institutions that don't want to (even indirectly) pay for women's contraceptives.

Since the "men and women shouldn't pay different premiums based on gender" thing went though, expect a surge of women-only benefits being tacked on to insurance policies. Since now they basically are subsized by men.

I agree that BC shoudl be covered because that prevents unnecessary pregnances, however it does nothing to enforce that the woman are actually taking the pill.

When you don't want women to get abortions (that they fund), the stock feminist response is "My body! My choice! It's none of the government's business!"

When you don't want to buy abortions for women, the response now is "the government has made a choice! Stop rebelling!"

So here's the thing: I have very bad allergies, to the point where if it's allergy season and I don't take my Allegra-D for a week I will be absolutely miserable. My insurance company decided it didn't want to cover Allegra-D for a while in 2009 and I was sick for nearly three months. I couldn't work, couldn't sleep, couldn't go out. Double ear infections, sinus infections, etc.

Women are being provided free birth control. Women choose whether or not they have sex. I can't choose whether or not I have notoriously bad allergies. Where's my free allergy medicine?
