Wait wait wait. She was making 75,000 annually, and needed 1000 a week to retrain. Last I checked there were 52 weeks in a year, even in the Southern Hemisphere. So she needs 52,000 a year and makes 75,000.

Also, let's say she wanted to be able to retrain fulltime. What kind of community services job takes 2 years to do so fulltime? I smell a rat. A lazy, entitled, rat who cannot do math very well.

Unbelievable. This woman was able to break out the waterworks as if she had been the one raked over the coals by the corrupt family court.

The man had to move out of a home that I'm sure he paid for in full and which she either got or forced the sale of and he is now forced to pay her (likely an additional on top of whatever other expenses the family court milked him of) $1000 a week so that she can get a job that is essentially as the man described it, a luxury.

His former wife hoped to earn up to $50,000 annually working in community services and wanted him to support her financially for two years while she obtained her qualifications.

He objected, arguing that she was employable and could return to her former career as a legal secretary or personal assistant, earning up to $75,000 annually. Her choice of occupation was effectively ''a luxury she cannot afford and which would be at his cost'', he said.

Let's see--$4000/mo for 24 months... WTF? Her feelings cost her husband $96,000. Nobody's feelings are worth that kind of money.

He earns 2 million dollars a year, and we're giving him a pity-party because he will have to pay out 50k for two years? Please. There are plenty of actual issues to take umbrage over. This isn't something worth our time or our righteous anger. Save it for guys really getting screwed over.
