A piece of shit. The definition of rape excludes the vast majority male victims of rape... Instead it lumps them under another category altogether. It has the courtesy to include attempted rape within the definition of rape but not male victims...

In summary, the questions asked to indicate whether or not someone was raped includes incidences as shallow as a sexual harassment (for the perceived purpose of achieving intercourse), and having sex when one could not technically grant consent (but the sex was nevertheless non-malicious, you simply cannot legally grant consent if you are not completely sober... and there are no questions asking whether or not the "perpetrator" was sober at the time).

Furthermore, they did not release any data with regards to the positive responses per question, so we do not know what proportion of "completed" rapes were just intoxication related rapes.

I have other criticisms (like how all the interviewers were women) but if the CDC was some well respected institution, the bar has certainly been set low.
