Like in Strauss Kahn case. It is proven she lied about half a dozen facts. Of course, this still does not prove she could not have been raped.

Why isn't lying to police and court a crime? Even when the liar is a woman?

For every rape case that has been proven wrong by camera evidence, there are probably 99 cases where the innocent victim (alleged rapist) did not carry a camera, did not "rape" in front of a surveillance camera.

Guess what happened to these 99 falsely accused without exculpatory camera evidence? 19 years in jail, probably.

And this woman, the one in a hundred false accusers who gets caught, gets off.

I like to believe that women are equal to men, that while there are some biological differences these differ as much if not more within the sex as between the sex, that in almost any thing one can do the other can as well, the one exception being pregnancy (though science may one day change that). But you know, that is just my belief. The evidence seems to disagree. Time after time I see women giving arguments that only work if you are considered immature, and the courts eating up those arguments.

If it quacks like a duck, if it walks like a duck, and if the courts all around you treat it like a duck, then there is only one conclusion.

If women want to be seen as equal, they need to realize that cases like this are a blow to their equality. Then again, so many of them show that equality was never their goal.
