Well if men are hard-wired to protect and sacrifice for women then what exactly is the point of the MRM? I don't get it. We should all be more than happy, especially in places like America, as modern women enjoy the highest standard of living of all time. Yippee!!!!!

I certainly feel the desire to protect and sacrifice for my daughter. I can't say I've ever felt an innate desire to protect and sacrifice for my wife. Never crossed my mind. Now, let's pretend I actually liked my wife - I would protect her from the physical harm of a larger person. But I would do that for other smaller people too. To provide and sacrifice for her as if she were a child? Of course not.

Isn't what your talking about regarding grown women a social construct? I'm thinking religion, Victorianism and radical feminism which essentially reduces the abilities and responsibilities of grown women down to that of a child and thus they require protecting???
