I'm going to go ahead and play devil's advocate here.

Lack of confidence in 1) your ability to perform sexually and 2) the attractiveness in your body can be very, very psychologically traumatizing, particularly for people under 25, since they're in the stage of their life where they're largely trying to find a partner.

I would suggest cosmetic genital surgery is just as justifiable as a correction of a botched circumcision, which is covered by insurance, or as choosing to get a circumcision as an adult. There are ultimately no reasons to do any of those things, but some people will choose to, and it's not justifiable to suggest that they should not, because those things can definitely be traumatizing and ultimately result in a much-less-motivated and much less successful life for the person in question, male or female.

If there's a medical need, that's one thing, but:

Upon examination, all of the women were deemed to have "normal" genitalia by the doctors. But three were offered surgery to address "a significant asymmetry". The remaining 30 were refused any procedure.

Aren't there better uses for tax money than cosmetic surgery?

Wait wait wait, so the media in the UK has gotten to the point where girls are under the impression that their genitals have to look exactly like a porn stars', and have gotten the idea in their heads that they need surgery to correct it... And you're worrying about how it affects men?

This is vaginoplasty...how is that not genital mutilation? How is it that in the UK, girls under the age of 18's parents are allowed to mutilate their genitals legally and the UK government pays for it?
