It has already brought change here in Canada.

Because of this movie, the private members bill C-464 passed into law on December 9th, 2010. It gives courts the right to refuse bail to someone charged with a serious crime who is deemed a potential danger to children under the age of 18.

I wonder which gender is most likely to be "deemed" a danger to kids? And which one will be "deemed" likely not to be dangerous, no matter how much evidence may be laying about?

I was going along the sad motions with the film until the "twist." I literally howled in despair and broke down.

I've seen lots of movies, but no other has ever utterly, emotionally destroyed me like this film did.

I watched tbis film last year. I can honestly say that the sadness and rage that i felt was the final "letting go" of my old feminist self, and what let me realize that me. Needed help too.

This film isn't about "men's rights" or "legal reform for women," whatever the hell that means.

It's about bail reform, the justice system, and professional misconduct.

I watched this on Netflix after a recommendation from friends. It's an incredibly powerful story. It's really personal, but definitely accessible to strangers.
