The debt crisis has a lot to do with female spending preferences.

It also has to do with greedy men who want to earn lots of money to impress women.

Women could start choosing humble, simple men with little money. They could start shaming bankers who make lots of money, and politicians who hand out too much money.

I'd like to tell you a joke that came to mind mind while reading this.

An aeronautic firm is running late on their latest sonic speed aircraft. The designs have been checked, double-checked and triple-checked, and all the simulations run fine, but the built prototype has a very peculiar flaw: the wings get ripped off at the hight of the fuselage at takeoff. No matter what the engineers try, no matter how hard they make the support, it's always the same story, and the wings keep falling apart. One janitor, witness to the daily struggles of the engineers, decides to speak up one day. "I'm no mechanic, I barely finished high school, and it's probably not my business. But have you tried putting a line of holes where the wings crack?" The designers all look at him bewildered, it's a crazy idea, there is no reason why it would work, but hey, they've tried every other option and they've ran out of ideas. So they decide to do exactly this, put a series of perforations and, to their amazement, the plane lifts off without a hurdle. The whole team and even management praise the satisfied but humble janitor, and throw him a party. The chief engineer decides to take him to the side and ask him the question on everyone's mind. "How did you come up with this brilliant design, what inspired you?" "Well, replied the janitor, have you ever seen toilet paper that rips on the dotted line?"

All this to say: it's normal wishful thinking to believe that the solution to a problem the best and brightest, the experts in the field have been unable to solve can be guessed by an outsider, an underdog. We've tried everything, but every time we did there was no woman around, this must mean that the solution lies somewhere with these women, right? Except we live in reality, and not a hollywood feel-good movie. And no, a "female perspective" will probably not solve a system as complex as the international economy.
