Best reply I've come up with is "I'm poor as fuck and have lived in the ghetto. Don't talk when you have no fucking clue what you're talking about, sheltered little daddy's girl." Then just walk away without waiting for a reply. It'll usually piss her off and shock her enough to reconsider what she said and whether her perspective is really valid.

This is one of the big problems with adapting feminist language, its often very bad language. I think we should seriously consider alternatives to terms like 'female privilege'. I don't want MRM to be feminism for men. Also, its great to see the supportive comments on that blog but until they throw off the label 'feminist' they obviously arn't willing to completely accept that men need rights too.

A good summary. Everyone save this for next time some feminist tells you to check your privilege. Having said that, the author is still coming from a feminist perspective and says things I don't agree with.

any person who thinks i have "privilege" over them is fucking insane. saying that strait white males are "privileged" is exactly the same as saying shut up rich boy. the shit i've gone through, the jobs i've worked, anybody who gets paid to sit on their ass all day writing about "white male privilege" should get off their fucking high horse and work a real job, then complain to me about equality.

and the fucking comments section, the first one: "Because I’d love to be able to carry heavy things without having to fend off doubting comments from peers and superiors, suggesting why don’t I just give that to them/a big strong guy."

shut the fuck up and deal with your limitations in life, they probably aren't suggesting you get someone stronger because you're a woman, but because you are fucking weak. When I work with capable women, I don't question their competence/strength, because it's fucking obvious.
