For example, I couldn’t possibly tell you that out of every ten rapes which are reported in Ruraltown, at least eight turn out to be nonsense.

Ruraltown is the fictional name he gives to the area he works to avoid revealing his identity.

Circular feminist logic: Very few women falsely report rape. I know this, because very few women are charged with falsely reporting. What? You want to start charging women who falsely report? But you can't! That would keep real victims from coming forward, and as I said, very few women falsely report...

Circular feminist logic: Men are the main perps in DV. I know this, because all the DV shelters are full of women. What? You say this is because those shelters don't serve men, and you want to set some up? But why would you? All the data from DV shelters we have supports my POV that women are the only victims.

This can't be proven fully that not all rape victims come forward - but I do feel that it is used as a re-enforcing reason on one side, and one of the two big argument points (that I currently know of) aside from an inflated 'detection rate' (that I guess is quoted in arguments); Perhaps a new 'adjusted detection rate' is required - at minimum to cause people to think about it, or one side to have an easy 'go to' term for counter-arguing that not all rapes reported will be truthful in nature.

The only option to help lessen false accusations and the methods and situations he describes that are included in the 'detection rate' is to take care of everyone at a young age, let them be healthy, educate them, and have people social and have friends - and counseling support.

"Make no mistake, the genuine victims suffer, the detection rate is low and we keep pretending that everything is alright." This confused me at first, but I think he is re-stating that the 'true' detection rate is actually lower than the detection rate including Charlenes?
