I'm pretty sure that the maid has no say in what happened after she reported her assault. So either the False Rape Society blogger wishes she'd been prevented from reporting the assault, or his real problem is with the cops and how they have handled the investigation.

This all might turn out to be a good thing.

If getting rape accusations made against someone becomes a common political tactic - which it seems to be (cue Assange) - then eventually there will be a balancing backlash.

It might be politicians making laws severely punishing false rape accusations.
It might be the public becoming jaded instead of hysterical about accusations made.

Either way, if smearing your political opponent is as easy as a rape accusation - either something will be done or we'll all become girl-cried-wolf about it all.
