I got to the trans posts here late and then decided to stay away from posting on them. I thought it was interesting. It was very telling on many fronts, seeing people I respond to and their responses. IDK. I was tempted to post a bunch of long diatribes about genetics and biology and defitions of masculine/feminine and how some people are born intersex and how we don't know much about it and how evolution started a dimorphic sexual system and how intersex people are likely genetic throwbacks to a earlier age and how we don't even know the number of gay men much less the number of intersex people because of PC rules that restrict scientists from studying populations and determining it and how so many seem hysterical and so on.

On one hand, I don't really give a shit. On another hand, I find it fascinating. I have seen boys that maybe were born without enough testosterone but hadn't gone through puberty, meaning they were still carrying the amount given to them in the womb and hadn't started producing their own, sit on TV with their moms, surprisingly no dad is ever present, and have their faces blurred while talking about wanting to be girls and the mother talks about how he is a girl in a boy body. This seems kinda crazy to me. If it is true then why not back them? Then again, what boy, in todays misandric system, hasn't thought about being a girl and having the privileges that girls enjoy. I have had that thought cross my mind a few times. Imagine getting out of a speeding ticket by looking sexually valuable and smiling. I have never been pulled over and not had three or more cop cars show up for back up because I am a male and must have drugs and guns in my trunk or something.

IDK. If they are born that way then let's support them. But I see no harm in asking simple questions and the knee jerk reactions that many pull are offputting in the same way that laughing at a sammich joke is called misogyny. If I ask a question about trans issues I am called transphobic....wtf, how am I even supposed to learn if I can't ask questions??? If I have time I may go through that thread and drop some truth bombs and questions but it is so long that last I read it it took me about a hour just to read through it. Getting swarmed is never that fun but is a good tactic. I will check out the link you just posted, haven't even read it yet.

Admittedly, I said a few pretty nasty remarks. Nothing extreme like some folks did(IE: Death threats), but they were pretty ignorant things. I've gone there to try to learn more, but I ran into some folks that saw those comments, so they've been naturally less than enthusiastic about receiving me.

Some of the folks have been really understanding. Others, not so much. Criticism over there isn't taken very well by everyone(Two of the mods I've talked to have been great, one of them, not so much), and there's quite a bit of circlejerking(But what sub doesn't have that?)

Aether went over there earlier today and literally got told to GTFO by a mod, which I found to be pretty counterproductive to their goals. You'd think the people they find most critical to their ideals would be the people they'd want to keep around either as an example or to help them change their minds.

Yeah. I touched on some PC issues while I was there with one of the mods. Sadly, about half of hte time I've invested into that subreddit has been defending myself or R/MR from some fairly wild accusations.

Me: If a woman gets shit faced drunk in clubs by herself, yet says her primary concern is avoiding sexual assault, she should be blamed for her actions of getting drunk alone which are hypocritical and inconsistent with her stated goals.

I don't understand the point here.

But the trans who posted here was ridiculously invested in strawmen arguments and you could see she wasn't there to listen. Then she also started off her post on our subreddit by saying we are the enemy... what? You can't come to someones area call them the enemy and say they hate you then make a sympathetic plead. And this is all after the mods seemed to be ok with trans.

I didn't go over to the r/ trans but there's not much of a point if their doing a lot of strawmen like you say. In fact just giving them much attention could help them convince themselves that we hate them...

I don't understand the point here.

Well, my point was this. She was saying "transgenders are so scared of assault therefore deception is OK."

I said, "if violence is truly the main concern, then you would not be engaging in the high-risk behaviour of starting a deceptive relationship - since if the truth gets found out, the chances of violence are very high. You can't have it both ways by saying violence is the main concern therefore deception is ok, but then turn around and say deceptive relationships are justified even though they are a high-risk activity."

Analagous to a woman who says her primary concern is avoiding sexual assault, but deliberately makes herself vulnerable to sexual assault by getting hammered in clubs by herself - you can't have it both ways and you should be blamed for your stupid actions.

Or another scenario, imagine I said that avoiding being beaten up by random thugs is my main concern, yet I walk around the black ghettoes with "I hate niggers" on my shirt - I should be blamed for my stupid actions.

Using the sat's to say men and women are equal at math is so weak to begin with. The sat's are significantly affected by how much work/preparation you did in school, not just innate mathematical ability.

If you want to use things like grades or sat's (which aren't very innate) then you'd also have to say girls are better overall. But higher grades and sat scores don't equal higher intelligence.

Unlike academic performance when you actually look at IQ (designed to measure intelligence not diligence) boys do at least as well as girls showing the unfair bias in school.

Furthermore, instead of looking at the average sat scores we should be looking at the exceptional scores to predict who will go into math based careers.

In summary sat scores are not a measure of intelligence and You should be looking at the exceptional group not the averages.

It may be designed to (although even saying that is a stretch), but it doesn't. It is very easy to cram for an IQ test. If you go from knowing nothing about such tests, you can gain 40 points easily by learning how the test-makers think. From there, by practicing rule-finding puzzles, you can basically get as far as you want. IQ test aren't a reliable measure of "natural intelligence" for adults.

But so what, really? Dilligence matters for all the things you might want to use an intelligence test for. Employment? Doesn't help if he's got brains if he's too lazy to use them. School admissions? If you go by the theory that they ought to go to the ones who can make best use of them, dilligence should be your priority #1. Sadly, this is true even if the "laziness" is a product of social conditioning.
