'A Dorset Police spokesman refused to confirm the sex of the arrested worker and would not reveal their age.' The spokesman added: 'It should be emphasised that this investigation is in the preliminary stages and at this time no person has been convicted of any offence.'

Thats all well and good, but the police routinely reveal the name of men accused of rape before conviction.

Yes I am 100% sure the accused is a woman (because they don't hire males in nurseries). But isn't this the kind of privacy we advocate here for this accusations?

We expect this to be mainline where you don't give any info unless there is a case.

They're keeping the identity and sex of the suspect a secret instead of allowing them to be "hung in the public square" by an angry mob?
