Finger-pointing aside, the absolute most important thing to get out of this is: discuss issues like children BEFORE you get married. Agree to something before you slip the ring on. "Figuring it out later" simply becomes whatever she wants in this particular matter. She doesn't want kids and you do? You can't make her get pregnant and she'll abort any mistakes anyway. You don't want kids and she does? She'll pull this kind of crap and there's nothing you can do about it.

Also, this guy really needs to get the kid tested to make sure it's his. There's always that possibility.
