Over at TwoXChromosomes, an interesting post was made:

I work in a small office with primarily female colleagues. All of the woman have very strong personalities. There are moments of kindness, laughter, and support, but for the most part I find them all very annoying (and I've tried so very hard to only see the good). More often than not I fake my way through the day, trying to hide my true feelings and put on a happy face. I don't always succeed. Sometimes the issues are minor, like someone telling a boring story about their cousin's neighbour for the umpteenth time, and sometimes they're more serious. Just this afternoon I had an unpleasant confrontation due to a very obvious difference in workplace priorities. My question is this: how do you 2Xers deal in similar situations? Do you grin and bear it? Do you stay true to your own personality, regardless of the outcome? Do you enter into conflicts unflinchingly or feel yourself back down timidly? Do you let it roll off your back or do you get out and find a new job? I'd love to read your stories, be they inspiring, commiserating, or hilarious. Please share!

I was wondering how men deal with the same thing? I myself used to work at a deli, where I was the only male. I found myself in a lot of situations where I was sort of picked on because of it. My way of dealing with it was to just be kind of submissive and let them do and say what they wanted. A few times they went too far, and I told management and it was taken care of but for the most part, things went well as long as I didn't let it get to me.

Does anybody else have similar thoughts?
