A lot of the advice here has been well intentioned but when you've got grade A crazy like your ex it is more important to protect yourself than to maintain frame (if you have to choose between the two). This is the kind of time that she will tell her friends that you abused her in the relationship and one of them will go to the campus security and this could quickly spiral into a he said she said situation which at college means even if you are 100% innocent and successfully sue later you're still 100% fucked for the rest of your professional life as well as all the bullshit you'd have to deal with stemming from the false accusation itself.

You are better off protecting yourself first than being alpha where the two conflict. In an ideal world you could do both but we aren't in an ideal world and at college you are guilty even when proven innocent in these kinds of situations. Keep the peace for four months but disengage as calmly and as peacefully as you can. Don't risk fucking yourself over because some psycho wants to make you suffer.

Don't explain yourself or attempt to comfort her feelings. If you did nothing wrong, it's not your job to make sure she knows that.

As you can see, never argue with women. She is not looking for an answer, just more feels.

Go to the university administration and make a formal report and complaint. Monday morning. Quit playing your role in this drama and block her completely. No more contact at all.

The other option is I have all this in writing - I'm tempted to go to student services and tell them I'm feeling threatened by an ex partner and show them the texts (if I was the girl and she was the guy, she would be expelled and probably arrested within a day) - they've just launched an anti-harassment campaign (but so far it seems totally revolved around women)

Do it. Do it now. If the Uni does nothing, go to the local papers and tell them of the Uni's double standard.

Also, go to the Police. Today. Regardless of what the Uni does. Show them the text. This will preempt a rape accusation/charge against you. The more time that goes by, the more she can get worked up, (and she seems to already be at a critical point) and the more she and her friends have time to do you dirt. Also, the more time the White Knights can come up with reasons to abuse you.

Go no contact. Block all her accounts and whatever. If you both show up at the same event, acknowledge her presence with a standard smile/nod/whatever as appropriate, but don't ask her any questions, or respond to anything she says with more than 1-2 words. If other people move and you're left standing alone with her, just walk away immediately and be somewhere else.

Her: "You have plenty reason to lie to me, I would think twice before coming to class next week".

"Is that a threat?" Save all texts/messages. (yeah it's baiting but it helps to cover your ass. Either that or no response.)

Step 1, Save EVERYTHING about you she sends/posts. Step 2: Block/unfriend her on everything. Step 3: Move on and work on yourself. Read the sidebar over and over. Work out. Become confident and secure.
