More like she's mad at Hollywood because she's not getting offered many good roles anymore. Unfortunately her career is in decline, or at least at a point where she's not a hot actress anymore. Too bad because I like Nicole Kidman, but this is just her feeling sorry for herself and lashing out.

BTW the statistics show that alll kinds of violent crime, including rape, have gone down. There was a link just days ago on reddit about how rapes are at the lowest point theyve been in decades.

I don't think Hollywood at all has contributed to violence against women; but if Kidman does, and then says that she hasn't had anything to do with it, maybe she should go back and watch Dead Calm, a movie she starred in back in 1989. In that movie she is attacked, held prisoner and essentially raped by a crazed lunatic (played by Billy Zane) while at sea alone with her husband.

Now like I said, I don't think Hollywood has anything to do with contributing to violence against women, but if someone (Kidman) does think that, then wouldn't this be the kind of movie she'd be referring to?

Watch movies or TV. Count how many times women are assaulted (verbally, physically) this means pokes, prods etc.
Same as above, but this time it is men. Yep I would blame Hollywood for the violence. It gives women a sense of entitlement they do not deserve, in advance, simply because they are women. Women are getting away with violence on a subtle scale in the sense that the media is "OK"ing female-on-male violence and ignoring the larger problem - male on female violence - by exhibiting the very traits that they hate. TWO WRONGS DO NOT MAKE A RIGHT
