Just a note - this is a civil suit. Not criminal.

In an affidavit obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, on August 8, 2009 states that the alleged victim Andrea McNulty allegedly bragged to a co-worker, Angela Antonetti, about having consensual sex with Roethlisberger.[71] In a sworn statement, the woman said McNulty did not appear to be upset about the incident. Antonetti went on to say McNulty expressed the possibility of being pregnant and she was hoping for "a little Roethlisberger." Moreover, Antonetti said, the woman asked her to travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in August 2008 for a Steelers' game and to try to "run into" Roethlisberger. Antonetti told her that she shouldn't try to chase Roethlisberger. Antonetti said she was "absolutely shocked" on July 21 when she heard on the radio that the woman had claimed Roethlisberger had assaulted her "because I knew [her] allegation ....was false. Because I knew that [her] lawsuit and false allegations would unfairly and unjustly hurt Roethlisberger, I wanted to set the story straight," she said in the affidavit, part of a motion filed by two other defendants to move the case from Washoe County to Douglas County.

If I were Ben Roethilsberger I would be sending Ms.Antonetti some really nice flowers when all this is over.

Sorry, you replied before I got my edit in. To answer your question as to why she would be more credible, it's because no woman wants to be a slut. A girl who has had sex with 100 guys has clearly decided she doesn't care about that label. A girl who has had a one night stand on the second time might be afraid of the stigma if she regrets her actions later, and thus use the rape claim to insist she's not "that girl."

The witnesses that can be brought in from her past should depend on the defence. If the defence claims they dated and now she's getting revenge for some slight, then any guy she dated and took revenge on should be a fair witness.

Likewise, if she's using a rape claim to cover up cheating, then a history of cheating and denying it might be admissible.

The total number of partners, on the other hand, is not valid evidence, only the way she has treated her partners in the past. The same standard applied to him.

I do think the evidence is MORE valid in a he-said she-said rape where he contends it was consensual. I don't think its sufficient to prove guilt or innocence. Nor do I think his denial or her accusation is sufficient. But I do think it demonstrates that say, when she goes home with a guy, she has sex with them and helps establish a pattern of behavior in say, an acquaintance rape case where she claims "I remember going home with him but I don't know what happened after that," even though at the time she was able to make the decision to consent to sex but didn't remember it the next day and woke up next to Coyote Ugly and regretted it.

Or she just hasn't told anyone. Ive met girls who have been with a lot of guys. Years later they are in stable relationships with guys who have no idea that their little angel was my little hooker back in the day.

If just a single one of those past partners has a grudge though, this gives that girl the chance to fuck him over royally by lying.
