This is non-scientific but here's my take.

Studies have shown keeping up a healthy social life helps preserve your health as you age and prevent dementia. People with a healthy social life are more likely to think life is worth living / have a purpose, and more likely to take care of themselves. Single old men are more likely to be isolated and lonely, leading to higher mortality.

Most unmarried old guys aren't red pillers who are living it up. Take really good care of your body and mind, live for a purpose. I think that will lead to an overall higher quality of life in old age.

Yes, the research is that married men live longer. But the fact of being married isn't what likely causes them to have longer lives.

Married men take fewer risks with their lives and health. Married men tend to avoid fast cars, fast pussy, hard substance abuse, etc.

Married men usually have someone else preparing more nutritious food for them, and have wives nagging them to eat better, not drink so much, not stay out late, not stay up late, etc. Married men usually see physicians more often and tend to address health issues more regularly. Married men usually have health insurance plans that take care of regular health issues, and use them more than unmarried men.

Most social or soft science like this is mostly bullshit, unable to tell correlation from causation and getting it ass backwards.

This applies especially to health, sociology, and economics.

I put it this way: Married men don't live longer...it only seems longer.

That said, married guys have someone at home saying, "No, I think skydiving/paragliding/drag racing is a shitty idea!" and they get talked out of it.

Single guys can manage risk on their own and in fact the more intelligent ones do. So the question is, whether an individual can do that himself or if he's a fucktard who needs someone to do it for him. Figure out which one you are, and act accordingly.

Majority of guys who never marry are extremely low SMV-which is probably why they die early of health issues.
