I see so many guys complaining about being cockblocked and claiming that the girls' friend that came over is just jealous she's not getting attention.

What really happened is that the girl they were hitting on is the one that signaled for her friend to come over, like the signs in this post. If she "allows" her friend to block the guy, then she's not interested in him. If she shoos her friend away, then she is interested and her friend was just coming to check up on her.

She is in on the cockblock LOL.

I was once at a party with some friends, and this one man was clearly trying to convince my super drunk friend to go to his place since he lived nearby. (When she gets drunk, she really becomes way too open to do senseless things in general.) There was also added pressure of people leaving the party and her needing a ride home and the hosts not wanting to keep the party going. She wanted to keep hanging out with people, and this man, a total stranger as we had never met him prior, was totally encouraging her to hang out with him at his place.

I took this for the red flag situation it was and insisted that I drive my friend home. (I was sober and had no issue driving her home.) This man got furious with me, upset that I was acting like he was a predator. He even said as much. And I had to argue with my friend too though she wasn’t hostile, just not taking the situation seriously. The more this man argued with me and tried to tell me my super drunk friend could make her own decisions and so forth, the more determined I became to not allow her to leave with him.

In the end, I won, and my friend left with me, I took her to IHOP and we chatted for a while, and I took her home. She told me after that she was so glad I insisted on taking her home and didn’t let her go off with this stranger. In hindsight she realized drunk her nearly got herself into a dangerous situation that night.

I’ve joked with some friends before that I’m man repellant as men are less likely to mess with them when I’m around. I’m not masculine or particularly tough looking. I guess I just give off a vibe that I won’t take their shit nor let my friends suffer their shit either. When it comes to the safety of myself and lady friends, I go full on fight mode if need be and do not budge in my resolve.
