What do you mean there's no evidence that autism is linked to sex?

There is a valid debate around underdiagnosis in women (and men for that matter) but it's literally linked to male hormones like testosterone, including when it manifests in women. Both boys AND girls born from mothers who have PCOS (which is marked by higher levels of testosterone) are at higher risk of developing autism and ADHD, just as one example.

I mean a lot of this is "theory". I'm not going to say everything is open and shut and we already know everything. But it is most definitely linked to sex, and to the male sex in particular. Saying anything else is just completely in denial of the established science on this topic.

I have autism. I was lucky enough to be diagnosed when I was around 11-12. It hasnt been too bad for me, the worse is online. The worse I have seen in real life is the puzzle pieces (Which is a terrible thing for autism. Do not use it.)

The reason boys are more likely is because it's easier to diagnose in them. I would not say thats privilege, I would just say thats our systems needing to be updated and find new ways to test.

It's a yes and a no for me. There are some days im happy and some days im sad I have it. A lot of the time I'm sad is when I'm hyperfixating or overstimulated. A lot of the times im happy is when I realize I can relate to a lot of my friends (Many of them are also autistic.) and I realize that a lot of the things im into (like anne boleyn, and politics) I may have not been into if I wasnt. It's both a blessing and not at the same time.

As an autistic male, i do not think being diagnosed is a good thing in most cases. It means you will be treated much differently than everybody else, even when it's not necessary. But it's good for some people, as it helps the ones who actually do need assistance.

1 in 34 is a lot, but even if many are misdiagnosed, there still could be some others who are not diagnosed, including women.

You seem to think getting diagnosed is a bad thing ("women seem to escape it"), but if you actually have it, it is a good thing, you don't have to tell anyone.

Asperger AKA "high functioning autism" is the coolest diagnosis to have at the moment, and as a disability it give you nice opression points in the woke hierarchy that some badly need if they are white and cis. Just beeing a female or a gay male don't cut it any more. This explain some misdiagnosis and many "self-diagnosis". Also, some people use their diagnosis to stop trying to improve or for being an asshole. those are always open and often "self-diagnosed".

Think of autism as the extreme male brain. Autistic people are obsessed with organizing and categorizing things. They prefer objects to people.

It's not under-diagnosed in females. Since when is a psychiatrist reluctant to sell you pharmaceutical drugs? If anything it would be over-diagnosed, in boys as well as girls for the same reason. Do feminists ever claim girls are being denied Ritalin? Not on your life. This is just feminism looking for ways to take even more revenge against the most vulnerable.

The reason it happens more in boys is because boys are more susceptible to certain kinds of environmental pollution, such as mercury in vaccines. Boys have more autimmune conditions across the board. Women need to have a more robust immune system for the sake of pregnancy. This is one of the reasons breast milk is so much better than formula.

Have an ex who is diagnosed as a high functioning autist. She claimed to have been told by some psychiatrist that often autistic women were misdiagnosed as borderline...

Tbh it wouldnt surprise me if that was true, because she was the most manipulative, abusive and outright cruel person I have ever had the displeasure of being in a relationship with. And by all accounts thats what its like to be with someone who is borderline.
