The absolute irony of being degraded and insulted by feminists because I had the audacity to say I’m not a feminist because... they degrade and insult women who challenge the norm at all. What a joke.

"Much men are stoopidd" -the other person, probably

[–]purebredginger_ 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ugh I hate this kind of stuff. It's like I can never catch a break, if I hang out with conservatives they're sexist because they force stupid gender stereotypes and expectations on me, and treat men like sex obsessed monsters, and if I hang out with liberals it's better because I can be feminine but they say shit like "women are more attractive than men in general" which sucks too.

I have a few friends who share my views, i.e. male issues exist and gender abolitionism, but whenever I try to talk to other people it's just nonstop.

This is really petty to me. You could just reframe at is "girls are more picky"

When it comes to wanting to fuck someone, guys are simple creatures. That's not an insult, it's just another way of saying we can decide in 0.2 seconds whether we'd want to bang a girl or not. If you're getting upset by this... well it's not even worth getting upset by, it's ridiculous to me.

[–]purebredginger_ 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

It has a really implicitly sexist undertone. Men are more complex than people realise, and I hate when people make jokes about stuff like, 'men will do anything to look at boobs', cuz even though I'm attracted to women as well as men I really DON'T want to look at boobs all the time, most of the time I explicitly avert my attention because I'm not usually in the mood.

I just wish people would see men as complex in their sexuality the way they see women most of the time.

I just wish people would see men as complex in their sexuality the way they see women most of the time.

why? no really, why does this matter to you?

it's easier for guys to want to have sex with someone than it is girls and this isnt changing any time soon. It's not that one is better than the other, we're just different. I really don't see what the problem is here. This feels like a toxic race to victimhood to me.

"It's easier for guys to hold leadership positiond than it is for girls and it isnt changing anytime soon. It's not that one is better than the other, we're just different."

You see that it actually becomes quite a toxic statement when the roles are reversed? But well, it is proven that hypocrisy is more accepted when guys are the ones who are attacked so🤷‍♂️

[–]bobbybobsonday -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I don't know what point you're trying to make with that comparison. Do you think I am some feminist who is will be triggered by that? lol

besides you haven't just changed the roles there, you've completely changed the situation. i whole heartedly agree with it anyway.

there's nothing better or worse about wanting to have sex with other people faster. girls just (biologically) face more consequences for sex than guys do, hence it's understandable they are more picky. Guys face basically no (biological) consequences, hence it's understandable they have an inclination to want to fuck every hot girl in sight. It is honestly baffling to me people take issue with this.

[–]purebredginger_ 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But not all of us do have an inclination to want to fuck every hot girl or guy in sight. So stop acting like that's a universal thing for men.

[–]bobbybobsonday -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

nothing is universal. But we look at general trends. That's how analysis of society must work. "stop generalizing" is a useless, braindead thing to say. Racism isn't universal, but it's prevalent enough for it to be a general trend. Misandry isn't universal, but it's prevalent enough for it to be a general trend. Dating desires aren't universal, but they're prevalent enough to make general trends.

Go to any sociologist in the world, tell them to "stop generalizing", and you will be laughed out of the room.

When did menslib infest this board? Why is saying it's easier for men to sleep with people than woman being taken issue with?

[–]danneyney 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There is a differenve between these two statements: 1) "Guys are less picky when it comes to picking their sexual partner" 2) "Guys want to fuck every hot girl in sight"

While the first is a sociological statement, the second one is problematic. Not only is the second one just not true for the majority of men, it is also strenghtening one of the many existing toxic stereotypes of the male gender role which we try to abolish. If we establish certain characteristics for a men, than everyone who doesn't fit those criterias is automatically less of a men. The same way our understanding of women has led women to be more hesitant to express their sexuality.

It's not about the general content of your statement that makes it wrong, but the way you phrase it and the subtext behind it. To give you another example:

1) "Criminals are generally more likely to be black" 2) "Black people are criminals"

While the first one isn't even suggesting that it's the fault of black people and there could be sociological reasons for that, the second statements is quite dangerous.

We live in a time where gender roles are questioned and are beginning to change, so it's up to us men to define manhood in a more fitting way so that it fits our modern society.

Your comment was removed. Deadbedrooms moderators are not okay with calling out sexism against men.

I was recently permanently banned for my first and only comment when questioning a woman who said divorcing her husband was the best thing for the kids. Her thoughtful reply to my question was also removed.

Well you could tell this girl there are men like me who are absolutely not interested in her even if she stands in front of me completely naked. I am sick and tired of men being taken for granted. Men would want to bang any woman that wants to bang them? Hell no.

[–]Quix_Nix 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is all cherry picking of course, and not knowing one's own sexual desires.

Women are simple creatures, all they want is a tall guy.

See easy.

But also, doesn't it seem like whenever guys are the simple ones they are dumb or have low standards and whenever the girls are the simple ones they are just being nice. Then whenever girls are demanding it is like eh whatever, and whenever boys are it is like OMG YOU ARE A MISOGYNISTIC RETROGTADE ASSHOLE.

Of course there are exceptions, but I feel that this is the general rule.

A YouTuber just did this talking about people in general, but I noticed she only said misogynistic... Sigh.

I don't think this is sexist. It's an exaggeration of the truth and meant to be a joke
