This is the second "Joe Rogan bad" article I've seen this week, the first one saying he was dangerous for giving a platform to Abigail Shrier, a journalist who wrote a book on the recent surge of trans teenagers. It offered up select quotes showing how awful his take on trans kids is, how he's making a tough situation for them worse, and how his dangerous show is going to push kids to suicide. Then I watched the episode in question. Much of what the article presented was the exact opposite of what was actually said, at no point does he or his guest actually disparage the kids in question, and in fact it was an interesting, nuanced discussion of a tough topic wholly grounded in empathy for the kids impacted.

I didn't see this particular episode with Burr, but I did see a later one where he mentioned this interaction -- he said he was messing with Burr, trying to get a rise out of his friend, but is totally in favor of masks and wears one regularly himself. What are the odds if I go find this episode that's going to be abundantly clear from context? I have no patience for absurd hit-pieces.

he's just jostling around, its called banter. whats with this "excuse me did you just use a GENDERED INSULT??". what is this, menslib? this ultra policing of language harms more than it helps its just pathetic

I thought he was one of the good guys from the "alternative media", but now I cannot take him seriously any more.
