I heard from a Spaniard himself, that feminist politicians, and top government officials said it was more important to march than to prevent the virus from spreading...and we know what happened after.

And that's in the country with gender violence laws where men can go to jail with the only evidence being her word. And she gets compensation from the state for accusing, regardless of the truth of crime. And they still manage to convince women that the country is super misogynist and laws favor men.

When a country gets so hell bent on an ideology they would happily spread a pandemic to affirm an ideology, one of two things will happen:

If the ideology is adaptive, the country will thrive and succeed beyond that of its peers.

If it's not, their obsession will likely detract from other areas (in this case health for citizens) which will cause other problems and eventually lead to the decline of both the ideology and country.

My money's on the latter one here.

One protester held a sign that read: “Machismo kills more than coronavirus.”

That protester was doing the opposite: Girl Power (or whatever you call the feminine version of machismo) spreading death by putting their interests before the public's health.

That's absolutely insane! Just the other day I was disgusted with how people were partying like it was the 4th of July. Like...postpone it. For Christ's sakes.

Responding to discontent with Spain’s sexual violence laws, the leftwing government has approved a bill to qualify all non-consensual sex as rape. Previously a perpetrator had to have used physical violence or intimidation for an assault to be classified as rape.

I am fine with that part. That being said, the march is a stupid idea. That is the opposite of what you should do in a pandemic.
