It's an offensive sentiment for sure. "Men not taking the brunt of the impact" because they're actually targeted by the virus itself.

I similar sentiments in articles about guys who have an agonising life and then commit suicide, comments like "oh that poor mother" etc. It's so nauseatingly arrogant and self-centered.

When men die from viruses and women do most work. -> This is so hard on women.

Ever get the sense that this is an internal psychological problem they are projecting onto reality and not, in fact, related to the environment they find themselves in?

Thank god these articles weren't written during the war-time, where women took the jobs at factories.

Otherwise, they would cause more harm than help.
