In a previous post on this sub I mentioned some of the contradictions I've noticed in a movement as broad as feminism. I don't want to imply from this that I think feminism is all bad. I think equality between the sexes is a great thing, and many advances on this front, famous examples including votes for women, and laws against workplace discrimination based on gender, did come out of feminism. These laws protect men too and are great.

The thing is we shouldn't rely on feminism to advocate for equality in areas where men are behind. Sure, some feminists claim that after enough patriarchy fighting, the society will be completely equal and this will automatically fix men's problems. But that's too slow of an approach for me.

I think we can do better with direct action. See an unequal law? Call your congress person and ask them to change it. Tell your friends to do the same. Create a Whitehouse petition and tell your friends to sign it.

That's how feminist political activists succeed. We can do it too. National Coalition For Men sued Selective Service and won.
