I posted in here before and I'm happy to elaborate on some of my circumstances.

I divorced three years ago (divorce decree has been filed and put in place as of 2019. Child support and child custody were established) I moved out of state as active duty military (legal won't represent anybody in the family cases, only give advice) and she moved down to Texas with my daughter.

My daughter is 5 years old and started school, I don't want her jumping around out of schools like I did in the military and we've always been on the same page that she'll do school over there and come and see me during school vacation times.

Officially on the decree it states I get custody 3 weeks every 3 months (so 3 weeks once a quarter).

I've since gotten into a relationship, my daughter likes my girlfriend and my girlfriend isn't wanting to push anything on my daughter and wants the relationship with her to grow organically at its own pace. She's great about not over involving herself or under involving herself.

Obviously my ex does not like the situation and is refusing to let me see her in South Carolina. Unfortunately at the time the divorce decree was filed we did not need to establish in what state the visitation would happen. Today she also dropped it on me that she wants it written on paper that I move my GI bill over to my daughter, that's never been in question, I just I won't have her telling me how and what to do with my benefits. So here's my question do I now refile custody under the new situation through Texas where they are now without a lawyer which will take significantly more time, but I was the filer and there isn't a stipulation about significant others in the order or find a money sucking lawyer to "represent" me in court.

Lately she's been getting a lot more hostile and I'm planning on filing a restraining order I just don't know how this is going to affect my communication with my daughter, she has an iPad and we talk through that
