Has anyone else used a flat rate attorney? I didn't know better and ended up with one at the beginning of my divorce. Her poor quality of representation and support of me at the beginning of my divorce left me in a really bad position for the rest of the divorce. Also she gave horrible advice in order to minimize her work. I put a huge down payment for the service and let her go after a month. It would have been far better going with an hourly attorney from the get go as they actually are motivated to get their $$$.
